Coq au Vin is a four-day wine bar taking over Kachette Annex in Shoreditch across the entire bank holiday weekend, pairing KFC’s legendary fried chicken with La Vieille Ferme’s iconic French wines. For those looking to escape London for the bank holiday weekend, Forwards Festival is returning to Clifton Downs in Bristol this weekend for its fifth anniversary, and the lineup is one of the best it has ever put together.
Saturday is headlined by Tems, Self Esteem and Wet Leg, while Sunday brings Little Simz, Amyl and The Sniffers and Dijon, with Joy Crookes and Maribou State among the supporting acts across the weekend. It’s a day festival with no camping, making it perfectly doable as a trip from London, and Bristol itself is well worth an overnight stay if you want to make the most of the long weekend.
