Callum Turner Is Tipped To Be The Next James Bond
After years of anticipation, it seems a new James Bond has been selected from an incredibly strong shortlist. Or at least, that’s what the internet’s convinced itself – here’s everything we know about the latest development.
The new development
While speculation has been swirling across the internet for days/weeks/years, one voice has tipped who the next Bond is believed to be. Roger Friedman, of Showbiz411 – the same reporter who broke the news of Daniel Craig’s casting over 20 years ago – has spoken.
“Word on the street is that Callum Turner is the next James Bond,” states Friedman, with the actor touted to be in Denis Villeneuve’s hotly anticipated release.
“My take: Callum’s wife, Dua Lipa, sings the Bond theme song,” Friedman adds.
Of course, just last month, it was widely reported that the final three contenders were doing screen tests for the role, which included Callum alongside Jack Lowden and Josh O’Connor.

As for who the next Bond girl will be, Margaret Qualley is rumoured to be the favourite.
Notably, Amazon MGM Studios has yet to confirm any appointments, but Producer Amy Pascal has hinted that the news could arrive by the end of the year.

I haven’t seen Callum Turner in much before (perhaps that’s a sign in itself). He’s not one of my favourites for the role – I’m still gunning for Jack Lowden – so I would be interested, although not excited, to see how he’d bring the role to life.
