Makeup & everyday beauty
What’s permanently in your makeup bag?
Kosas Setting Spray.
What’s your five-minute face when you’re doing the school run?
By Ellie eyebrow gel. L’Oréal faux brow. Elizabeth Arden Eight-Hour Intensive Lip Balm. Kosas Revealer Super Creamy Concealer and a Dior Beauty bronzer.
Which product do you repurchase without even thinking?
Victoria Beckham Foundation. Expensive but worth it, and it lasts forever. I haven’t actually had to rebuy yet, but I will.
Are you more about glowing skin or a statement lip day-to-day?
Glowing skin always.
What beauty product makes you feel instantly put together?
My eyebrows have to be done no matter what.
What’s your getting-ready playlist vibe, calm or full glam energy?
It’s either Sabrina Carpenter or Paramore.
Skincare & self-care rituals
What does your evening wind-down routine look like?
I wish I had one. I’m always working late or sorting out the kids. A peppermint tea is kind of it atm.
Are you strict with skincare, or do you keep it simple?
I’m strict with what I use. I have acne-prone skin, so I keep it simple.
What’s the one treatment you swear by before a big event?
I wish I had lots of facials and things, but generally, I manage a lymphatic drainage massage.
Do you carve out time just for yourself during the week? What does that look like?
Not really. I am working on this, though. It mainly looks like a workout class with a friend. Weights, Reformer Pilates or hot yoga. Or sitting on the sofa watching Netflix.
What’s your Sunday reset ritual?
I try to look at my week ahead and plan where I can fit in a workout class ahead of time and plan what the kids need and who needs to do what drop off and pick-ups.
I’m learning that 1% is better than 0%. I’ve always been an all or nothing person, which only leads to feelings of failure. Doing my best is always enough.
Wellness & mental health
Wellness means different things to different people. What does it mean to you right now?
I’m learning that 1% is better than 0%. I’ve always been an all-or-nothing person, which only leads to feelings of failure. Doing my best is always enough.
What small daily habit makes the biggest difference to how you feel?
I take Symprove every day without fail. If I forget all my other supplements, I feel happy that I always manage that one.
How do you protect your mental space when life gets busy?
This looks different all the time for me, but it often means putting my phone down for a while. A workout with friends or snuggling at home with the dogs.
Are you someone who journals, meditates, or prefers movement to clear your head?
I really struggle with meditation. Journaling really helps, but I always forget! So, movement is easiest for me, but has to be something I really want to do. I’ve learned not to force myself to do a workout that I don’t enjoy.
What’s your non-negotiable for feeling balanced?
I try to make sure my week is a mix of work, family, and friends. It’s not always possible, but I do my best.
Fitness & keeping active
What does your current fitness routine look like?
Classes. I was struggling to get myself to work out at home, so I’ve given myself some grace and am seeking out what I enjoy and trying new things. It does mean that sometimes I do less, but that’s ok.
Are you an early-morning workout person or do you squeeze it in when you can?
I prefer to get it done in the morning. The longer the day goes on, the less likely it is to happen. However, a friend of mine can only work out in the evening, so we try to do a class together once a week.
What kind of exercise makes you feel strongest — physically and mentally?
I love Pilates with hand and ankle weights.
Has your relationship with fitness changed over the years?
Yes. It’s now something I have to actively put into my diary. I no longer spend my days dancing for a living. I’m also learning that if I don’t do 7 days a week, that’s fine, and 30 minutes is long enough.
What’s your motivation trick on days you really don’t feel like training?
Book a class and drag a friend along.
Most people I know can’t afford the whole ‘buy an expensive piece and get cost per wear’ theory. So, I wanted a space for women to feel confident, feel inspired and know that the items are pieces they can actually afford
Fragrance, confidence & life
Do you have a signature scent, or do you switch depending on your mood?
I had only worn Bvlgari Crystaline for years. I now wear Victoria Beckham 21:50 Reverie and Glossier You Doux.
When do you feel most confident, barefaced at home or fully glam on set?
Barefaced at home. I barely wear make-up on days off. It’s taken years to get used to.
How has motherhood shifted your beauty and wellness priorities?
It’s all about the best outcome with minimal effort.
If you could bottle one feeling, such as calm, energy, or confidence, which would it be?
Contentment.
Fashion
What’s your go-to outfit formula when you don’t know what to wear?
I always start with my coat or jacket. To me, they make an outfit. So, I work backwards from there. A good blazer or long structured coat makes the simplest outfit look put together.
Why did you find Faves?
I felt like there was a gap in the space of accessible fashion. There are lots of platforms for high-end style, but not for high street. Most people I know can’t afford the whole ‘buy an expensive piece and get cost per wear’ theory. So, I wanted a space for women to feel confident, feel inspired and know that the items are pieces they can actually afford. It’s also about more than just the clothes. We’ve really built a community of like-minded women, and I love that.
What’s in store for the future of Faves?
We have so many big plans. The lives are our favourite part. Bringing everyone together and putting them in spaces that they once felt were reserved for celebrities and influencers. We love pushing the boundaries, and we have lots of that in store.
