It looks like 2026 is off to a good start in TV watching: the much-anticipated fourth season of Industry is finally here. The new season follows Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) leading their post-Pierpoint lives, and it looks bigger and more intense than ever. Here’s all you need to know:

What is Industry Season 4 about?

Every instalment of Industry, which started as a drama following the lives of would-be financial traders, has outdone itself and taken the already intense show to new heights. We’ve known since the end of the third season that the next one would be different, because Pierpoint, the investment bank that our lead characters had all worked for, changes permanently when the London office is closed and sold off. At the end of Season 3, Harper departs for New York to take a key role at a short-selling fund, and Yasmin gets engaged to Henry (Kit Harrington), more out of financial reasons, rather than love. Both of these plot points will be integral for Season 4, as Harper and Yasmin’s fractious relationship continues.

Yasmin will be preoccupied with navigating her relationship with Henry and everything that comes with it, having invited Harper to her wedding at the end of last season. Harper herself will be tested by her new acquaintance with Whitney Halberstram (Max Minghella), one of Season 4’s fresh faces. When a new fintech company pops up and quickly establishes itself in London, both Harper and Yasmin will be drawn into a multi-threaded cat-and-mouse game spanning the globe, and bringing the two women together and possibly once again into confrontation. Both are now leading the lives that the aspiring Pierpoint grads had dreamed of, and both are at the top of their game- but as always with Industry, it feels like the desire for money and power could cause it to all come crashing down.

The first teaser trailer is more about mood than plot, with a montage set to music (Lilac Wine by Nina Simone) showing where our characters are now, and where they might be headed. The only dialogue is between Harper and Yasmin themselves: “Will you look after me tonight?” asks Yasmin of Harper. “When the fuck are you gonna look after me?” she replies. “Tonight.” The somewhat enigmatic exchange implies a lot about their relationship, especially given how messy and often toxic it’s been so far.

What else do we know, and is there a release date?

Returning cast members include Ken Leung, Sagar Radia and Miriam Petche, while new additions include Kiernan Shipka (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lasso), Max Minghella (The Handmaid’s Tale), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) and Kal Penn. The eight-part drama arrived on BBC One and iPlayer this weekend.
