Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill

Anyone who adores oysters will already be well versed in this popular spot, but Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill has been serving up Champagne and oysters for over 102 years. Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Richard Corrigan took over the restaurant in 2005, restoring the Victorian building to its former glory.

Today, you’ll find the restaurant focusing on fine British seafood, as well as a variety of meats and seasonal game dishes. Over 1,000 oysters are shucked every day in front of diners at their Champagne and Oyster Bar.

Wright Brothers

Serving up the very freshest of seafood, Wright Brothers is known for their oyster options. The Lighterman

Scott’s 

One of London’s five oldest restaurants, Scott’s has been part of the capital’s furniture since John Scott first set up his oyster warehouse in 1851. Still today, the restaurant specialises in the finest fish and seafood dishes in London. 

Expect an eclectic mix of oysters available, from Jersey Rocks and Gillardeau Oysters to moreish temperature-fried oysters with ponzo aioli and pickled fennel – delicious.

Seabird

This might be an Instagram favourite, but we can confirm the hype is well worth it. Seabird, located at the top of The Hoxton Southwark, is home to London’s longest oyster list. Expect options from England, France and Ireland.

Claude Bosi at Bibendum

Home to immaculate interiors and striking stained glass windows with the Michelin Tyre Man playing a central role, Claude Bosi is home to a restaurant and an oyster bar. Looking for oysters with something a little extra? Visit Covent Garden’s The Oystermen Seafood Bar & Kitchen for dressed oysters packed with flavour. Expect oysters served with the likes of champonzu, wasabi and shiso; calamari, jalapeno and dill; and spicy buffalo sauce and kosho. 

There are plenty of other fishy flavours to look forward to as well, from their whole, undressed Devon brown crab with garlic aioli to their paccheri pasta with lobster and crab bisque, scallop tartare and black in tuille.

With a name like The Oyster Shed, you know what you’re getting. The restaurant, home to riverside views, alfresco dining and Insta-worthy interiors, serves up some of the best oysters along the Thames.

Langan’s Brasserie

A true stalwart of London’s dining scene since the 1970s, Langan’s Brasserie remains a timeless destination for elegant yet relaxed dining, with a reputation for quality that has stood the test of time.
