Best May Pop-Ups and Supperclubs
We’re not quite sure how it is May already but we’re not complaining, summer is on the horizon, we’ve just had a Bank Holiday weekend, there’s another still to come and it means that it is the start of whole new month of pop-ups and supper clubs! From the world’s largest Negroni bar to crazy golf and a forager’s feast here are the ones not to miss:
The Ninth, Salt Yard, Piquet
All-star culinary collaboration
It’s no secret that Fitzrovia is the place to be for new restaurants. Three chefs (Jun Tanaka, Allan Piquet and Ben Tish) from three of the best Fitzrovian restaurants (The Ninth, Pickett and Salt Yard respectively) have come together for three one-off dinners, combining the best of their individual styles of cooking with their love of Fitzrovia. The six-course sharing menu includes Tanaka’s flamed mackerel, Jersey Royals, pickled kohlrabi and sea purslane, Pickett’s roast seabass with yeasted cauliflower puree, romanesco and mushroom persillade and Tish’s roast saddle of rabbit, slow-cooked leg and Salt Yard jamon croquette with sautéed violet artichokes, steamed agretti and roasting juices. Not to be missed.

Junkyard Golf
Crazy golf, cocktails and nachos
Finally London gets a taste of Manchester’s much-raved about Junkyard crazy golf. Crazy is definitely the apt word here – choose from three different nine-hole courses creatively titled Pedro, Frank and Helga, each scattered with scrap heap objects – bet you never thought you’d putt through a washing machine?! Street-food style nachos and hot dogs provide the fuel and cocktails like the ‘Tee Diddy’ will quench your thirst.
