We’re cock-a-hoop for cocktail week. For one week a year we’re inundated with invites and samples, enticing messages and calls to pop down and sample some of London’s best cocktails. Given we live in the epicentre of the world cocktail scene, it’s only right that we spend the week gorging on some of the fabulous creations that London has to offer. Welcome to cocktail week: here’s some of the places we’re going to be hanging out…
We love The Perception at W London, the Leicester Square bar that boasts the biggest disco ball in all of Europe. As if it couldn’t get any better than that, they’re celebrating London Cocktail Week with a free Makers Mark masterclass for anyone who grabs one of their signature cocktails, the Enjoy The Show. The cocktail, a popcorn-infused Makers Mark bourbon and Coca Cola foam triumph is a hit, but go behind the scenes by ordering a this Wednesday.
Order a signature Enjoy The Show this Wednesday, 3rd September, before 6:30pm and accept the invite to the free masterclass

Swingers, pretty much THE home of crazy golf, will be serving an exclusive, limited edition ‘Anna Pavlova’ cocktail at both their City & West End venues. Priced at a steal at £6 a pop the cocktail is a combo of Zubrowka vodka, apple, lime, egg whites and elderflower. Of course (no pun) it’s best enjoyed over a round of crazy golfing along with a bite from Patty & Bun, Breddos Tacos, Pizza Pilgrims, Made of Dough and Hackney Gelato. What are you waiting FORE!?
High above Regent Street sits Aqua Kyoto, one of London’s most fabulous Japanese restaurants and no shirk when it comes to mixology. A day in the Countryside ignores the fact that the restaurant and cocktail bar are situated on one of the country’s busiest and most urban streets, combining the tartness of Aperol and the sweetness of bergamot with peach for an autumny cocktail-weeky creation. It’s a combo of Tanqueray gin, Punt E Mes Vermouth, Aperol, peach liqueur and bergamot juice, well worth a pop-in, if only for the fab surroundings.
You can always pop next door to Aqua Nueva for their From Jerez to Clarendon cocktail, or else head to The Shard for cocktails at a height at Aqua Shard where they’ve got a black cherry negroni waiting for you…
The Bar at The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences will be stepping up to honour London Cocktail Week by showcasing its Double Bellini Cocktail at just £12. It’s the ideal drink to savour as you take in the hotel’s art deco inspired bar and combines Prosecco, peach puree and topped with peach foam.

The New York Bar inside The Rubens has been busy adding cocktails to their list. Four to be precise, perfectly timed for LCW. The cocktail consist fo coconut Kombucha, elderflower cordial, and Pimms no 1, proving that just because Summer has bid farewell to us, doesn’t mean our love affair with Pimms comes to an end. The fourth cocktail is called The Guard – a nod to Buckingham Palace – using a royal mix of Liquore delle Sirene, Tanqueray gin, Carpano Antica topped off with soda water.
