Missing You: The New Netflix Thriller From The Creators Of Fool Me Once

This year Netflix scored a big hit with its thriller miniseries Fool Me Once, and now the creators behind that series are back with a follow-up. Missing You follows Detective Kat Donovan, whose world is rocked when she finds her old fiancé on a dating app after he seemingly disappeared. Things start to unravel for Kat as her past comes rushing back to her, leading the detective to reopen an investigation into her father’s murder. Here’s all you need to know:
What is Missing You about?

Like Fool Me Once, Missing You adapts one of the bestselling novels by Harlan Coben, and follows Kat Donovan (Slow Horses’ Rosalind Eleazar), a detective with a speciality in solving missing person’s cases. Eleven years before the series begins, someone close to her went missing, along with her fiancé, Josh (Top Boy star Ashley Walters), disappearing completely. After Josh vanishes without ever making contact again, Kat is left to pick up the pieces and move on with her life. In the present, Kat is casually scrolling a dating app when she stumbles across what is unmistakably her old flame’s profile, clearly alive and well. The shocking reappearance causes her to stop and question everything and she decides she wants to get answers to the questions she’s thought about ever since he left.
But Josh’s return will also open up another old wound, the murder of her late father. That case was closed years ago, but Kat decides to reopen it as secrets and revelations come to the surface. Is Josh’s disappearance connected to her dad’s murder? As she searches for answers, Kat feels like something is seriously amiss and that perhaps not everything is as it seems in her life. She doesn’t know who she can trust or who’s telling her the truth, and she’ll be dragged ever deeper into a world she wishes she didn’t know about.
Who else stars?

Netflix has signed up a starry cast for Missing You alongside Eleazar and Walters, featuring Richard Armitage (Red Eye), Lenny Henry (The Rings of Power), Steve Pemberton (Inside No.9), Marc Warren (Mad Dogs), Jessica Plummer (The Girl Before), Samantha Spiro (Game of Thrones) and James Nesbitt (Cold Feet).
