Following an extensive refurbishment over the last few months, the all new Marcus Wareing restaurant is set to open next week in a stunning new contemporary space at the Berkeley Hotel in leafy Mayfair.
Designed to ‘strip away the formalities and barriers that are commonly associated with top-end dining’, the new Marcus promises an ‘all-new, accessible, Michelin starred dining experience.’ The restaurant seats 105 with 12 in the Private Room and 10 at the Chefs Table.
Robert Angell Design International is behind the new look, the idea being to celebrate the venue’s grand architecture and opulent interiors – embracing its faded glamour through art, sculpture and furniture ‘to create a sense of place’.
Food wise, Wareing will, of course, remain at the helm, working closely with Head Chef Mark Froydenlund. The heart of the food remains the same, delivering modern European menus with British influence. New to the menu will be the option of ordering just one course at lunch from £12 – otherwise à la carte starts at £60 for two courses and an eight course taste menu starts from £115.
And hot off the press, this summer will see a brand new restaurant in the Wareing portfolio: a 5000 sq foot three floor venue called Tredwell’s on Upper St Martins Lane led by Group Operations Director Chantelle Nicholson.
