The leaves are beginning to turn golden, and the air is getting chillier as we officially step into boots and coat season. And if you’ve got your sights set on a fun weekend, there’s a great bottomless brunch with a carnival theme you can book, a sing-along session at one of South London’s hottest destinations, a new Leonardo DiCaprio film to catch and a must-see fashion exhibition. Here’s our list of ways to spend this weekend:

Check out this fashion exhibition

It is the most fashionable month of the year, so it’s a great time to head to the Barbican for Dirty Looks. The exhibition is all about how we can create a sustainable future for fashion, and explores how dirt and decay have been used to defy beauty standards, and why it’s going through a resurgence in young designers’ work and featuring work from iconic designers like Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, and emerging designers like Elena Velez and Yuima Nakazato.

The new menu has been created by Electric Shuffle’s bar masters and includes cocktails like the Bittersweet Symphony, Orange Crush and Kiss From A Rose. You can head to Electric Shuffle at Canary Wharf, London Bridge, and now King’s Cross, to taste-test the new menu before the end of the month.

Watch Leonardo DiCaprio’s new film

One Battle After Another is loosely based on the novel Vineyard by Thomas Pynchon, with Leonardo DiCaprio playing one of the former revolutionaries around whom the film centres. There’s a sizeable cast joining DiCaprio in this one, including Teyana Taylor as gun-toting revolutionary Profidia. Other big stars include both Sean Penn and musician Alana Haim, as well as Benicio del Toro, who’s also set to appear in the Wes Anderson film The Phoenician Scheme.

IN THEATRES ON 26TH SEPTEMBER

Enjoy your first Autumnal walk

Is there any better way to spend a weekend than walking through the beautiful Hampstead Heath? We think not. Whatever you’re looking for – short autumnal walk, long walk, dense trees, vast open spaces, lakes, dogs – Hampstead Heath’s 800 acres have everything. Take in the changing colour of the leaves as they crunch beneath your feet, and pop in for a cosy tea in Kenwood’s Brew House to warm up mid-walk.
