The Experience

Travel back in time and immerse yourself in Prohibition New York and its legendary speakeasy scene.

Set in 1930, in the last wild days of the Jazz Age, the experience follows one-time socialite, showgirl and Moonshine entrepreneur, Belle Livingstone as she opens her final and most debaucherous nightclub – The 58th Street Country Club. Fuelled by bourbon and jazz, the club is a playground for Hollywood Queens, Harlem Kings and Park Avenue Tycoons. That is, until it gets raided by Federal agents on opening night, never to open again.

Now, almost 100 years later, the 58th Street has come roaring back to life. To recreate the drama and decadence, The Lost Estate has enlisted acclaimed dancer and choreographer Eleesha Drennan (Studio Wayne McGregor, National Dance Wales) to direct.

Expect mesmerising set design from long-term collaborators Darling & Edge and dazzling acting as this one-night-only epic plays out with you at its centre. Acclaimed actor Suanne Braun (Stargate’s legendary Goddess Hathor) stars as Ms Belle Livingstone. Ayesha Pike (Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, 606 Club) is Valaida, the Club’s legendary singer. An ensemble of award-winning dancers – Tia May Hockney, Ihsaan de Banya, Oliver Chapman, Hakeem Tinubu, Bryong Pennington and Rose Sall Sao – complete the experience as the Gods and Goddesses of Jazz.

At the heart of it all is a sizzling soundtrack of 1930s classics, performed by The 58th Street House Band, an all-star ensemble led by legendary horn player Rory Simmons (bandleader for Jamie Cullum, Blur, and many more). Dance and jive all night, to the sound of the hottest band in all of New York.

The Food

Alongside the theatre magic, you can look forward to a New York smokehouse menu to keep you going all night long.

Expect dishes such as Battery Point Chowder with truffle cornbread and smoked seaweed butter; a Park Avenue ‘Surf-n-Turf’ Feast of smoked featherblade, truffle garlic shrimp mac, Astoria Waldorf salad, house pickles and 58th Street hot sauce; plus a finish of Belle’s very own Grand Central Apple Pie, completed with bourbon caramel and ices.

Each dish has been meticulously designed and flame-seared to perfection from The Lost Estate’s executive chef Ashley Clarke (formerly Gordon Ramsay Group, SmokeStak and Temper Soho). Vegetarian and vegan options for all courses are available on request.

The Cocktails

Going handily alongside the food is an equally transportative cocktail menu of Prohibition classics and outlandish originals, from the mysterious Zaza to luxurious Waldorf Fizz, all from the award-winning minds behind The Lost Estate.

The Greatest Night of the Jazz Age runs 07.03.2023 – 25.06.2023
