ALBUM OF THE WEEK: Run The Jewels – RTJ4
Run The Jewels were set to release their hotly anticipated fourth studio-album this Friday, however they have decided to release it early due to how prevalent its themes of racial injustice in America and police brutality are to the Black Lives Matter protest happening all around the world currently.
The hip-hop fronted duo, formed of El-P and Killer Mike, have never shied away from discussing disenfranchisement and racial issues. If you’ve never listened to Run The Jewels or heard a powerful Killer Mike speech before then now it the perfect time to listen and educate yourselves on what they are preaching.
RTJ4 features a host of big music names too, including Josh Homme, Pharrell Williams and Mavis Staples.
