Chishuru, Adejoké Bakare’s Michelin-starred Fitzrovia restaurant, is running Summer Suya Sessions all month long, and it isn’t one to miss.
It’ll be serving up a relaxed, à la carte menu inspired by the street-side suya grills of Nigeria, with dishes starting from just £7. The menu is built for sharing and repeat ordering, with suya-spiced bavette skewers, whole prawns in yaji butter, lamb tongue with green strawberries and what is already being tipped as a cult dish, the spaghetti jollof. It marks an exciting new format shift for one of London’s best restaurants, running until 2nd September.

Celebrate a London institution’s 10th birthday with this special menu
Michelin-starred Clerkenwell favourite LUCA is turning ten, and to mark the occasion Chef Robert Chambers has put together the LUCA10 Menu. Think a three-course greatest hits menu at £75 a head, available from August 3rd to September 5th. Highlights include the legendary Parmesan fries that have been on the menu since day one, taglierini of Cornish lobster with datterini tomatoes, and the return of the caramelised lemon tart with fennel ice cream, with a complimentary pour of LUCA-cello to finish.

KERB Goes East is landing at Canada Water on 8th and 9th August, and with 50-plus traders celebrating the best of East and Southeast Asian street food, it’s shaping up to be one of the food events of the summer.
Highlights include Oishi Don’s Japanese comfort food, Singapore’s famous curry puffs from Old Chang Kee, Himalayan dumplings from Mandala and the Korea-Mexico fusion of Komex, all set alongside an independent craft and culture market and live music by the water. Franco Manca has teamed up with Aaron Potter, chef patron of Belgravia’s Wildflowers, on a limited-edition Summer in Bloom pizza that’s available until the end of August.

Elsa’s, the Alsatian-inspired bistro, is running a summer guest chef series and the August 17th edition is a good one. Frankie Clarke is bringing his modern Jamaican pop-up concept Irie to the kitchen for an evening that blends his Caribbean roots with Elsa’s Franco-German DNA.
It’s a combination that sounds unlikely on paper but brilliant in practice, with Clarke developing the menu collaboratively with Elsa’s head chef Holly.

Lily Vanilli, the east London baker with a serious cult following, is bringing a Georgian-inspired dessert menu to DakaDaka from 1st to 8th August, and it isn’t one to miss. Having previously launched a bakery in Tbilisi, Lily knows her way around the cuisine, with highlights including a Sweet Adjarian Khachapuri, a Saperavi Black Forest Sundae and a Cha Cha Sour Cherry Jelly. The Zetter Bloomsbury’s Garden Grill series continues on August 23rd with Ella Williams, Head Chef of No. Forty Nine in St John’s Wood and one of London’s most exciting young chefs.
Her menu leans into bold Caribbean flavours and late-summer produce. Think jerk pork loin with pimento tonnato, coconut-braised cowpeas and a rum and raisin plantain split to finish, all cooked over fire in The Zetter’s secluded garden. Cult kitchen knife brand Allday Goods and Cheltenham’s DEYA Brewing Company are joining forces to open The Alldeya Arms, a four-day pop-up pub on Rivington Street in Shoreditch over the bank holiday weekend.
