Alexa Chung’s New Blonde Bob Photos Made Us Do A Double Take
There are few celebrities whose hairstyle has remained as consistent through the years as Alexa Chung. The fashionista’s signature brown strands, often gently waved and finishing just beneath her shoulders, have become almost as recognisable as her personal style. So, when the Brit shared photos from her latest shoot on Instagram, showing the star with a very different hairstyle, we were intrigued.
The style
While Zendaya and Margot Robbie are the latest A-listers to join the bob gang, it seems Chung is more bob-adjacent. One look at the photographs, shot by Jonathan Huguet for Behind The Blinds, it’s quickly apparent that her shorter style is achieved with the help of wigs. On the left, Alexa sports a Marilyn Monroe-inspired voluminous curly bob, which makes her look almost unrecognisable. As you scroll through the post, Alexa takes a selfie with said wig, and, well, if there was any doubt as to whether it was real, consider it settled.
The second bob Alexa’s seen wearing is a short, shaggy, dark-brown style with a full fringe, which more closely resembles her classic haircut. While both bobs look undeniably great on her, the brunette version feels incredibly Miu Miu-inspired – so we wouldn’t rule out seeing this ‘do in the future.

It wasn’t long before the comments section was flooded with praise. Makeup artist Lisa Eldridge writes “❤️❤️❤️❤️” while others added “Muse ❤️” and “Stunning 🔥 🤍”.
