Pizza lovers, this month is for you. There are two hot new pizza places opening up in London this August, so if you’re looking for a different spot, you’re going to want to visit. Plus, a new Spanish restaurant from the chef behind Heddon Street’s Sabor – we’re already excited for this one. If you’re keen to visit before the rest, here are the new London openings to look forward to this summer.

Legado

With Sabor’s Nieves Barragán at the helm, we already know that Legado is going to be one of London’s most exciting new openings. Located in Shoreditch, Legado will be serving a menu that goes beyond the familiar, allowing lesser-known dishes, regional culinary traditions and the Spanish artisans to take centre stage. With seating for over 60 in the dining room and space for 16 at the counter, Legado will also introduce the Taberna, a dedicated bar and outdoor terrace open all day serving tapas and pintxos.

On the menu, highlights include the Legado Sandwich – an intricate, two-day process made with Swiss chard, Cecina, and smoked cheese, fried in breadcrumbs – a fond memory from Nieves’s grandmother’s kitchen. Seasonal specials will include traditional Valencian fideuà, made with short, thin noodles that replace traditional paella rice.
