If there’s one bag trend we’ve spotted this summer that makes every look feel cool, it’s the beaded bag. Spearheaded by the likes of Miu Miu and Saint Laurent, and with clear nods to vintage style, as well as a slew of high street iterations, here are the ones currently on our shopping list.
This is one for all the lazy girl fashion fans out there: the beaded bag. It’s this summer’s most laid-back and laissez-faire look – in fact, it’s one step away from being a vintage fruit bag. My personal preference when it comes to this trend? Go vintage. It’s a look that feels lived-in, like something you might have picked up in a thrift store or an Ibiza Old Town market. However, with such big players like Saint Laurent and Miu Miu creating their own iterations of the look this season, there are, of course, plenty of high street dupes around.
My top picks? H&M’s sweet rope piece dotted with candy-like gems throughout, or the ASOS chunky beaded top-handle purse in hues of chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. It’s the perfect little bag to take to a wedding, paired with this season’s mocha or lemon sherbet shades.
