The Handbook
The Handbook

From the beauty-editor favourite to the box dedicated to natural products, we’ve handpicked the best beauty subscriptions and boxes guaranteed to make you look out for the postman each month.

Beauty Pie

Great for: bonafide beauty junkies who know their hyaluronic from their salicylic acids and everything in-between.

Plus, The Handbook are offering readers an exclusive one month free membership. Keep reading for more info…

When Beauty Pie launched less than four years ago under the direction of serial entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, it turned what we know about the beauty subscription on its head.

Using the highest quality ingredients, from the best cosmetic factories in the world and a team of skincare scientists at the top of their game, the brand started to produce product that actually worked. But the best bit? They cut out middlemen, expensive celebrity advertising and bricks and mortar stores, letting the products speak for themself and taking the price down considerably (up to 80%) for the customer.

It worked and now Beauty Pie is loved by just about every skin-fulencer out there. They also do makeup, fragrance, body care and hair care, and it’s all comes beautifully packaged to your door in their now signature millennial pink branding. It’s safe to say we are obsessed.

Learn more about the brand by reading our full Beauty Pie article and find out how you can get one month’s entirely free membership to the service – for Handbook readers exclusively – here.

Friction Free Shaving (FFS)

Great for: when you’re sick of saying “FFS” to blunt razors.

If you can’t remember the last time you changed your razor, you probably need to. Friction Free Shaving takes the faff out of defuzzing bar actually doing the job for you.

Simply sign up and fill in a couple of details about how often you shave and they will send you fresh, top of the range razors to suit your needs. That’s not all. The brand has made the beauty industry sit up and see how bad for the environment buying cheap, plastic razor after cheap plastic razor really is.

They come with a reusable metal handle so you’re only changing the razor and a blade recycling scheme, as well as recyclable packaging. They also never test on animals and the razors themselves are genuinely great – less rash, more control and a closer shave with fewer strokes.

Oh, and we love the fact that FFS’s branding speaks to women – no airbrushed legs or razors infused with moon collagen – just real legs, chicken skin and all.

Friction Free Shaving subscription starts from £6.95 for the handle and four razors either every month or every two months depending on needs.
