“I Tried The ‘Blonzer’ Trend That Hailey Bieber Loves”

Just when we thought our summer glow was behind us, along comes ‘blonzer’ to give our complexions a much-needed hit of warmth. Made famous by Hailey Bieber, this clever blush-bronzer hybrid combines the warmth of a bronzer with the flush of a blush, creating that effortlessly sun-kissed, just-back-from-holiday finish. Think toasted terracotta tones, rosy warmth and a healthy-looking flush that makes skin look as though it’s been kissed by the sun, even when the temperatures start to drop.
The beauty industry is just as obsessed as I am. Brands are now launching dedicated blonzers that combine the two products in one, meaning we no longer need to DIY our own shades by mixing blush and bronzer together.
This is the perfect way to transition your makeup into autumn, swapping summer’s golden glow for something a little warmer, richer and more cinnamon-toned, without losing that fresh, dewy finish.

How to get the look
I’m using the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Blonzer in Kiss of Rose, which is the ultimate warm, toasted, sunkissed shade. The beauty of a blonzer is that it does the work of two products in one, giving your skin warmth and a natural-looking flush in a single step.

I start by sweeping the liquid formula across my cheekbones and over the bridge of my nose in one continuous swipe, mimicking the areas where the sun would naturally hit.
Then, I blend it into the skin using a brush, although you can just as easily use your fingertips or a damp sponge.
Don’t be afraid to build up the colour with this trend. Its balm-like consistency melts beautifully into the skin, so you can layer it until you get your perfect level of warmth without it looking heavy or overly made up. I love how it leaves my skin looking ultra-dewy and glowy.

To finish, I add a few faux freckles using my eyebrow pencil for that extra sun-kissed touch. And honestly, the dewy glow this look gives my skin is exactly what my complexion needed this autumn. I’m hooked!
