Intrigued? Here’s why it’s this autumn’s hottest ticket…

What’s CABARET at the Kit Kat Club about?
With millions of pounds spent transforming what was once a traditional theatre into an immersive underground venue that will remind you of Berlin, CABARET at the Kit Kat Club had a lot to live up to, and that, it certainly does.
The club’s new, intimate production is set to blow you away with its brilliant set design, show-stopping costumes and electrifying performances.
Having already won a record-breaking seven Olivier Awards including Best Musical Revival, CABARET is currently performing with big acts, including names from HBO’s Euphoria and Netflix’s The Sandman.
The moment you step inside the theatre doors, the evening commences. Head down at the Kit Kat Club’s designated entry time and you’ll be greeted with nine professional dancers and musicians performing ‘The Prologue’ throughout the building and bar areas, while audiences grab drinks at the bar, enjoy the foodie offerings and discover the club’s corners.
The ‘main’ show will soon begin and, without giving too much away, is a feast for the eyes.
What you can expect is Berlin’s famous Kit Kat Club brought to life through the transformation of London’s Playhouse Theatre.
You can look forward to many stories being brought to life. It draws influences from the book by Joe Masteroff and is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood. Music plays an integral part, with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. Expect songs including ‘Wilkommen’, ‘Don’t Tell Mama’, ‘Mein Herr’, ‘Maybe This time’, ‘Money’ and the title number ‘Cabaret’.

Who will be performing?

Always attracting big names as well as paving the way for rising talent, CABARET at the Kit Kat Club’s production currently stars two big Hollywood names. Maude Apatow, known for her role as Lexi Howard in Euphoria, stars as Sally Bowles. Mason Alexander Park, known for their role as Desire in The Sandman, stars alongside, performing as Emcee. Both will be leading the cast until 23rd September so grab your tickets pronto to see the pair in action. On selected performances, the role of Sally Bowles will be played by Emily Benjamin.

Excitingly, they have just announced the new big names joining the production following Maude and Mason’s departure. From Monday 25th September onwards, the roles of The Emcee and Sally Bowles will be played by two big music icons, Scissor Sisters’ frontman Jake Shears and pop hero Rebecca Lucy Taylor AKA Self Esteem.
Emily Benjamin will continue to play as the production’s alternate Sally Bowles until 18th October, with Nic Myers taking over the ranks from 19th October. Other cast members performing throughout include Nathan Ives-Moiba as Clifford Bradshaw, Beverley Klein as Fraulein Schneide and Teddy Kempner as Herr Schultz.
