From SPF that won’t ruin your make-up to shower sheets that are a godsend, these are the beauty essentials that will see you through every sunrise set, glitter touch-up and tent-induced beauty emergency.
Festival beauty isn’t about looking perfect (because, honestly, no one does, or cares after Day Two). It’s about clever, hardworking products that earn their place in your bag. Think glow-boosting skincare, SPF you’ll reapply, instant refreshers and SOS fixes. These are the beauty heroes I’d pack every single time.
After one night in a tent, your eyes will tell the truth before you do. Enter Grace & Stella Energizing Eye Masks, £20. Pop them on while you’re sipping your morning coffee and suddenly those four hours of sleep become your little secret. Cooling, hydrating and instantly brightening, they’re the quickest route to looking human again.
When a proper skincare routine isn’t happening, Glow Recipe’s Toner Pad Collection Set, £17 is the next best thing. Swipe, glow, done. They gently exfoliate, hydrate and leave skin looking fresh without needing a sink full of products. Minimal effort, maximum payoff.
No festival beauty bag is complete without Merit’s Great Skin Instant Glow Serum, £16 in the perfectly portable 10ml size. A few drops revive dull, dehydrated skin in seconds, giving you that “I’ve definitely had eight hours’ sleep” glow, even if you’ve spent the night listening to someone’s portable speaker until 4am.
The beauty editor rule? Never skip SPF, especially when you’re spending all day outside. Naked Sundays Cabana Clear SPF50, £30 is the dinky-sized sunscreen you’ll remember to use. Lightweight, invisible and make-up friendly, it layers beautifully throughout the day without leaving you looking shiny or ghostly.
Mosquitoes always seem to find the one person in the group. Usually, it’s me. SOS Science of Skin Solution for Bites, £6.75 quickly calms irritation, reduces itching and stops you scratching your legs for the rest of the weekend. One of those products you hope you won’t need, but you’ll be very grateful if you do.
Stress, sunscreen and late nights aren’t always kind to skin. That’s where Starface Hydro Stars Party Pack, £8.99 come in. Not only do they help protect blemishes while they heal, but they somehow make having a breakout look… kind of cute.
Festival cleansing doesn’t need to be complicated. Indu Skin Cleansing Pads, £14 remove dirt, SPF and make-up in one easy swipe, making them ideal when your skincare routine has been dramatically downgraded by festival life.
Most festivals don’t come with luxury facilities. Thankfully, Megababe Cucumber Mint Shower Sheets, £10 exist. Think of them as a shower in wipe form. Cooling and refreshing, they’re the closest thing to feeling freshly washed between proper showers.
Festival hair has two settings: incredible or completely out of control. A quick spritz of Hair by Sam McKnight Lazy Girl Dry Shampoo Mini, £14 revives flat roots, adds volume instantly. Finish with a mist of Gisou Honey Infused Hair Perfume, £20 for delicious-smelling hair.
We’ve all become hand sanitiser snobs. Bamford No Rinse Hand Cleansing Gel, £4 smells infinitely more luxurious than your average antibacterial gel and leaves hands feeling soft rather than stripped.
If you’re adding colour, make it easy. Morphe ChromaPlus Eyeshadow Trios, £13 take all the guesswork out of festival make-up. Three perfectly matched shades, endless sparkle and zero need to carry a full palette.
Late night? Long day? Bounce Back What’s That Patch, £19 is your secret weapon when your mind and body need a little extra support after one too many festival indulgences.
There comes a point every afternoon when everything needs reviving. This brand-new AKT The Haze Mist, £35 delivers exactly that deodorising, refreshing reset that we all need come 3pm.
If you’re only packing one multitasker, make it Trilogy Everything Balm, £15.65. Honestly it fixes everything from dry lips, unexpected blisters, sunburn. It’s basically the Swiss Army knife of your beauty bag.
Festival food and drink is part of the fun, but your stomach doesn’t always agree. We. Are. Regular’s Perfect Poo sachets, £15 (for starter kit) is one of those products you’ll be quietly grateful you packed. Consider it a little insurance policy for your digestive system after three days of burgers, chips and whatever else looked like a good idea at midnight!
