5 Coachella Fashion Looks We’ll Be Creating This Festival Season & Beyond
If Glastonbury is about the headliners, Coachella is about the fashion. The infamous LA festival – which kicks off a summer of music, crowds and love – took place last weekend and the weekend before, offering plenty of influencer fodder and outfit inspo to feast your eyes on. Here are five Coachella fashion looks to recreate this festival season and beyond.
Coachella is basically a who’s who of Instagram with all the major players posing in front of the iconic ‘Chella Ferris wheel. This year offered some of the most extra we’ve seen – there wasn’t a welly boot in sight – so strap in for our favourites from Alessandra Ambrosio’s cowboy-inspired situation to Leonie Hanne’s refreshingly wearable denim + crochet combo.

Supermodel and Coachella veteran, Alessandra Ambrosio, takes on multiple trends in one with an underwear-as-outerwear style silk slip; leather hot pants; and this season’s ubiquitous Western fringed jacket. Recreate the look with one of Free People’s lace cami dresses and their brilliant vegan leather jacket with festival fringing.

LOOK 2: Leonie Hanne
Instagram starlet, Leonie, is no stranger to the plains of Coachella and this year’s look plays into two big summer trends, oversized denim and hippy-vibe crochet.
Leonie layers a triangle bikini under her supersized denim jacket but the look would work just as well with a one-piece swimsuit or vintage band T-shirt if you’re after a little more coverage. Finish off with cowboy boots because, if you didn’t wear cowboy boots did you even go to Coachella?

When the H&M X Rabanne capsule collection dropped last November who would have thought one of its hero pieces would be stealing the show some six months later? Crochet is a trend that keeps reappearing each summer and its bohemian roots feel particularly at home at a festival. Elevate the look with body-con shapes and knee-high boots – although we think a chunky ankle boot or Converse hi-top might be better suited to a UK festival. Finish off with beaded jewels, sunnies and a chunky knit for cooler evenings.
