Pall Mall Deposit, West London
124 – 128 Barlby Road, Ladbroke Grove, W10 6BL
Located in the heart of Notting Hill, Pall Mall Deposit takes its name from the historical space’s former life as a furniture depository. Today, you’ll find the space looking very much the part, complete with its original sign and period face.
Inside however, the space has been completely transformed. It boasts airy communal spaces, studios and offices, with skylights and original architectural features peaking through. There’s an exciting range of spaces that can be rented including meeting rooms and breakout spaces, as well as an exciting new cafe addition helping to fuel your caffeine needs.
There’s so much to see and do around the neighbourhood too, from wandering down Notting Hill’s Portobello Road for lunch at Lowry & Baker to Grand Union Canal for a lunchtime stroll. Another great lunch spot is Golborne Road’s Café Lisboa, a favourite of chef Yotam Ottolenghi and something of a London institution, known for its Portuguese coffee and pastel de nata custard tarts. Pall Mall Deposit is super easy to get to by tube, overground and bus which is always an added bonus.
The Chocolate Factory, Wood Green
Clarendon Road, Wood Green, N22 6XJ
As exteriors go, it doesn’t get more colourful. Once home to Barratt & Co, one of the largest manufacturers of sweets in the world, Wood Green’s Chocolate Factory is authentically unique and forms the creative backbone of this exciting North London neighbourhood.
The Chocolate Factory, easily reachable by both Wood Green tube and Alexandra Palace train stations, offers impressive industrial style spaces with great meeting rooms. There’s also an on-site cafe, as well as outdoor terrace making it the perfect spot for an alfresco team catch up or sunny lunch.
Elsewhere nearby you’ll find your morning coffee fix at Bean + Brew, while Joka will fuel your current sushi cravings. There’s also nearby gastropub The Prince, home to hearty pub grub, as well as The Starting Gate and The Goodness Brewing Company for a pint.
We can’t not mention Alexandra Park either. Home to stunning views over the city, it’s a great lunchtime location for those looking to get their steps in. The Phoenix will be on hand for all of your drinks needs, as well as the biggest beer garden in North London.

Mare Street Studios, London Fields
203/213 Mare Street, Hackney, E8 3JS
Once the home of a furniture factory and Victorian warehouse, Mare Street Studios has since been given a revamp but still pays tribute to its roots with its uber-stylish industrial feel. You’ll find exposed brickwork that sits alongside an eco-friendly and biodiverse green roof, concrete floors and imposing steel columns in the main entrance.
Like all of Workspace’s locations, this property has its own bespoke design aesthetic. You can find bright and airy light-filled spaces lined with sleek Metro tiles and the occasional pop of neon. It’s amassed with lounge areas, perfect for quick catch-up calls, but the real stars of the show are the rooftop terrace and atrium garden, both home to beautiful outdoor seating that’s well worth taking advantage of on the warm weather days.
Broadway Market is just a short walk away, home to everything from high end seafood at Fin & Flounder fishmongers to cocktails at Off Broadway. There’s also London Fields for a lunchtime picnic or quick game of competitive tennis with your colleagues. There are plenty of dining options dotted around too, from traditional Vietnamese at Green Papaya to Turkish feasts at Anatolia.
Kennington Park, Oval
1 – 3 Brixton Road, Oval, SW9 6DE
Built in 1905, Kennington Park is rich in history. The majestic red brick and terracotta building was once the HQ for London’s growing fleet taxis. Nowadays, it’s one of Workspace’s most popular spots.
On the outside, the castle-like exterior draws in the crowds, while the interiors are fresh, modern and up to date. Think contemporary lounge and atrium spaces, stylish offices, studios and meeting rooms with concrete and wooden flooring, cosy team spaces and chic industrial-style lighting. There’s even a gorgeous terrace outside for BBQs, al fresco lunches and after work drinks.
For local foodie options, try Hank and Ginger’s bacon baps for brekkie, or explore Brixton Road’s independent offerings. Refuel after a busy morning with coffee from Buzz, a takeout hatch in grounds of St Marks Church right next door to a great jerk chicken pop-up for a fast and filling lunch. After a drink with a difference? You’ll want to give The Brown Derby a go. It takes its inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood.
Cricket fans will feel more than at home at Kennington Park with the iconic Oval – home of the Surrey County Cricket club – mere moments away.
Clerkenwell Workshops, Clerkenwell
27/31 Clerkenwell Close, Farringdon, EC1R 0AT
Despite being centrally located, Clerkenwell very much has a village-like feel, complete with award-winning eateries and independent spots to head to after work, making Clerkenwell Workshops a great option. Home to a Victorian facade and period features, the space is full of contemporary office and studio spaces.
The property is centred around a courtyard, which is the perfect escape when you need five minutes of fresh air or somewhere to soak up the sun on your lunch break. With original wooden floorboards and exposed industrial details, the light-filled spaces include the wonderful Clerkenwell Kitchen. Run by chefs direct from Dorset’s River Cottage and Marylebone’s La Fromagerie, they use locally sourced ingredients and organic and free-range produce making it a great spot to grab a quick coffee or have a lunch work meeting.
Other exciting eateries dotted around the area include Granger and Co for an Australian inspired dining experience; Breddos Tacos for a quick grab-and-go lunch; sourdough specialists Pizza Pilgrims; and The Zetter Townhouse for cocktails and afternoon tea.
For a dose of culture, one of the world’s greatest contemporary dance theatres, Sadler’s Wells, is just a short stroll away, as is The Barbican, or try a pilates class at Frame Farringdon.
