Wondering what you’ll watch once Succession finishes its final season this month? HBO has the answer: its new miniseries Full Circle, which is set to hit streaming on Max on 13th July.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh and featuring an impressive cast including Zazie Beets (Atlanta), Claire Danes (Fleishman Is In Trouble) and Timothy Olyphant (Fargo) it centres around the investigation of a failed kidnapping attempt that reveals earth-shattering revelations across the lives of multiple characters in New York City.

Here’s Everything We Know About Full Circle So Far

Soderbegh, best known for films like The Ocean’s trilogy, Contagion, Traffic and Magic Mike, is bringing his directing chops to HBO in a cryptic thriller across six episodes. Zazie Beets, who is set to appear in the sixth season of Black Mirror, plays our central character, Harmony, who is investigating the potential links between Claire Danes’ Sam and a series of botched kidnappings in New York.

The first teaser (which gives little away) starts with Sam getting a phone call from a mysterious “Jared” with the words “we have your son” when she picks up. But is there more to her character, and her past, than meets the eye?

It certainly seems so judging by Full Circle’s official synopsis, and that the investigation “uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present day New York City.”

No one questioned seems to be trustworthy, with the skeptical Harmony bluntly stating “they’re all hiding shit.” The trailer also features quick cuts of heart pumping action, before closing with the words “everything is connected”- and a shot of a mysterious looking white circle somewhere in the city. Timothy Olyphant meanwhile plays Derek, and comedian Jim Gaffigan plays Manny Broward. Also starring in the cast are Dennis Quaid (Strange World) and Jharrel Jerome, who can also be seen this year in the surreal Prime Video comedy series I’m A Virgo.

Full Circle will first premiere next month at the Tribeca Film Festival, before hitting Max on 13th July with its first two episodes debuting simultaneously, and the rest weekly. No official platform has been announced for the UK yet, so stay tuned for further info.
