The biggest documentary of the year has got its first trailer: Harry & Meghan will be releasing exclusively on Netflix, with a release date right around the corner. Focusing on the Royal couple’s relationship, a glimpse into who they are as people and how they are behind closed doors.

With Harry’s book Spare also releasing in a few weeks, there’s going to be a lot of new info about Harry and Meghan and their side of the story- here’s five things we know so far about the new documentary.

It’ll be in-depth

This won’t be a quick little peek into the couple’s lives: Harry & Meghan will be six parts long, and as the BBC points out will be rated 15, meaning it’s not going to hold much back. The documentary will tell the couple’s whole story so far, from when they met and had a romance, fell in love and got married, and then charting the birth of their children and growing fractures with the royal family. The challenges and controversies of their relationship and marriage will all be covered, as never before.

There’ll be revealing new interviews

Harry and Meghan will of course be the two main subjects of the series’ interviews, explaining their side of events in their own words, and why they decided to make a documentary. “When the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”, says Meghan in the doc’s first teaser trailer (which you can watch below). Harry stresses that, away from the media coverage of the couple, no-one is able to see “what is happening behind closed doors.” But they won’t be alone, with friends and family, as well as royal historians, will also be lending their voices, dissecting the media impact to how people perceive their relationship.

It won’t shy away

If there’s one thing that both Harry and Meghan have made clear in recent months, it’s that they don’t want to shy away from telling the truth of their relationship and how they feel, with Harry calling his upcoming memoir “unflinching.” There’s certainly some pretty intense moments in the teaser trailer- with a black and white image of Meghan apparently in tears, followed by a photo of a stern looking Prince William and Duchess Kate, hinting that the documentary will go into how the couple perceive Harry’s brother and the rest of his family, and the rift that grew between them.

It’s directed by an Academy Award nominee

When you’ve got the name recognition of Harry and Meghan and the budget of Netflix, you can get a prestigious name to helm proceedings: the Harry & Meghan doc will be directed by Liz Gabus, a veteran documentary maker who’s won Emmy and Peabody Awards for her work, and scored Oscar nominations for prison documentary The Farm: Angola, USA (1999), and Nina Simone bio-doc What Happened, Miss Simone? The black and white photos, music and editing in the trailer alone are certainly striking, so you can expect a visually arresting as well as dramatic piece.
