Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch
Shoreditch High Street (0.1 miles)
What: Glamour in Shoreditch
Why: With keywords like cosmopolitan and rustic on their website, Beach Blanket Babylon’s Shoreditch venue is a slightly naughtier sister to the main Notting Hill location. Private hire includes up to 800 guests, but smaller areas can cater to smaller groups in different ways. We particularly like the Champagne Bar for a private party for up to 300 guests, away from the main restaurant.
Where: 19-23 Bethnal Green Road, Shoreditch, London, E1 6LA
Shoreditch High Street (0.2 miles)
What: A blank space, baby
Why: It only opened in October, so this Christmas is the first for BL-NK and they want to do it in style. This three storey events space in Shoreditch will cater to your every need when it comes to planning your Christmas party – everything from props, flowers and entertaiment will be sorted for you. The space on the ground floor is the biggest, for up to 300, the first floor with roof terrace fits 150 and smaller meeting rooms are ideal for 20-30.

Shoreditch High Street (0.1 miles)
What: Victorian viaduct
Why: Village Underground has hosted some big names – Nike, Ford, Burberry and now get ready to add your company name to the list. You don’t have to stick to the conventional dinner or champagne reception format either, why not do a film screening or secure a great musical act to perform for your guests? It’s close to train stations and an extremely striking and memorable venue, just as you hope your party to be.
Where: 54 Holywell Lane, London, EC2A 3PQ
Tom’s Kitchen St Katharine Docks
Tower Gateway DLR Station (0.3 miles)
What: Private dining in British brasserie
Why: If most venues seem too corporate and you just want an informal lunch or dinner to gather your team then we present to you the private dining room at Tom’s Kitchen, St Katharine Docks. Frosted glass doors can completely close off your area to make it totally private for 16 diners whilst a semi private area at the back near the open kitchen is slightly larger, for 56 seated.
Where: 1 Commodity Quay, London E1W 1AZ
Old Street (0.2 miles)
What: Get competitive
Why: This is definitely the place for a fun night. The main focus is undoubtedly the ping pong tables, so reserve a few or book a private room where you get ball collectors and an iPod dock. The Gin Palace inspired cocktail bar is sure to get you into the spirit but depending on how competitive you are, you may want to hold back on the cocktails to keep your aim in check. History will be made, but we can’t promise friendships won’t be broken… It gets serious.
Where: 241 Old Street, London EC1V 9EY
Monument (0.2 miles)
What: 35th floor garden in the sky
Why: If your colleagues haven’t been to Sky Garden they will seriously thank you if you pick it for your work party venue. Equally as appealing for lunch overlooking London’s landmarks as it is a dark winter’s evening for a drinks party, Sky Garden consists of 3 main events spaces as well as 2 restaurants and a private dining room, with food from leading event caterers, rhubarb. The Sky Pod Bar and Vinoly Room are our favourites for an intimate ‘do to wow your guests.
Where: 20 Fenchurch Street, London
Hackney Town Hall
Hackney Central (0.1 miles)
What: Art Deco assembly hall
Why: The name may not fill you with excitement but Hackney Town Hall is a great little spot for event hire. A grand staired entrance will get things off to a good start and inside, things are no less grand. Art Deco in style, the Assembly Hall can accommodate up to 550 guests standing but also be split into smaller rooms if you don’t need all the space. Our favourite feature? The original sprung dance floor means no excuses for not pulling some shapes.
Where: Hackney Town Hall, Mare Street, London, E8 1EA
Tower Hill (0.4 miles)
What: Underground vault built in 1858
Why: The only original warehouse still standing in St Katharine Docks, Ivory Vaults consists of 9 small vaults, all connected by a central tunnel and can host 450 people in total. An in-house events team will tailor your party especially to you but be inspired by past events which have seen acrobat artists and medieval banquets.

Cambridge Heath (0.2 miles)
What: Trendy loft restaurant
Why: Concrete floors and white butchers tiles make Bistrotheque a modern blank canvas for your event. A converted clothing factory, it definitely has a fashionable feel to it. Request the private dining room and choose from a range of packages – a welcome glass of prosecco, champagne, hors d’oeuvres or ‘party food’. The private dining room can seat any number from 20 – 96 guests or 130 standing and a sophisticated backdrop can be arranged with musical entertainment from the Bistroteque Choir or the talented Xavior string quartet.
