It goes without saying that the Hindu festival of lights, more commonly known as Diwali, brings beauty in so many forms. From the mesmeric colours to the abundance of food enjoyed by families around circular tables, it’s a time where life is celebrated, against all odds. The festival symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance, taking place every Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. Spanning across five days, Diwali itself occurs on the day before the new moon (this year it’s the 7th of November!) in the month of Ashwin. What with Gymkhana being a Michelin, we’re hoping for a good spread this Diwali, and with an alluring menu featuring classics such as Tandoori Masala Lamb Chop, Boti Kebabs and Guinea Fowl Biryani it doesn’t look as though we’ll disappointed. Instead leaving rubbing our bellies and smacking our lips after a dinner that’s set to be lit by candle-light with a tailored six-course taster menu.
