London is brimming with luxury hotels with flamboyant suites that all have their own personal wow-factor, so choosing where to lay your head at night can be excruciatingly difficult. One that’s a little different from the rest is the (RED) suite at The Andaz, launching back in May 2018, as part of their collaboration with (RED). This modern suite was designed by Sir Terence Conran and 30 percent of the nightly room rate goes towards (RED)’s fight to help end AIDS.

One hotel that sets itself from the rest is Hotel Café Royal and its immense history. For over 150 years, the hotel has been a meeting place for some of London’s most distinguished and respected figures, including Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill, and even David Bowie. Their grandeur Tudor suite celebrates its history and origins from the Elizabethan era. Your eyes will be drawn to the original Tudor fireplace taken from an old English Manor House situated in the centre of the living room. The walls are adorned with mock Tudor panels and Jacobean symbols, while a green marbled dining table fills the master reception room floor making it perfect for entertaining.

Excuse us why we relive our childhood in the Kipling suite at Brown’s Hotel. Yup, this suite is named after the legendary author Rudyard Kipling, who penned The Jungle Book, right here within these very walls! Throughout the suite, you’ll find playful nods to Kipling, from the little monkey statue sat outside the door to a framed handwritten letter from Mr Kipling himself. Hand-painted Lewis & Wood green and gold wallpaper adorns the walls, while the immense windows overlook historic Albemarle Street’s design boutiques. And don’t even get me started on the bathroom! It’s decorated with beautiful Italian Arabescato marble and delicate detailing.

Ready to greet you in the bathroom is a slightly peculiar wall sized image of Henry VIII but don’t let him scare you off from using the bathroom facilities…

When a hotel overlooks the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace it’s only natural to have royally themed suites, and boy, does The Rubens at the Palace do them right!
