The Power List: Foodie Destinations Coming to Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station is rapidly transforming; not only into an iconic development of one of the capital’s best-loved buildings, but also into a foodie destination. With Battersea Power Station already proving a draw for locals, the calibre of eateries in the area is likely to be high, so here’s a quick glance at what’s already opened in this former wasteland between Vauxhall and Battersea.
Cinnamon Kitchen
Another Cinnamon
Where Chef Vivek Singh’s Cinnamon Group goes is probably a dead cert to be a canny investment, so it’s telling that here they are at the power station. Occupying a railway arch, the Indian fine dining restaurant has just opened and is in soft launch mode until Monday 2nd April, which means 50% off food!

Fiume
Riverside Italian
Fiume, which means river in Italian, overlooks the Thames in Battersea Power Station’s Circus West Village. The Italian restaurant is the latest offering from expert restauranteurs D&D, responsible for such hits as Skylon, Aster and Quaglinos. By that standard, we have high hopes for Fiume.

Mother
Roman Mother
No doubt drawing on the ‘justa-likea-momma- used to make it’ trope, and yet Italian restaurant Mother somehow doesn’t make it sound worn out. Run by a Roman chef, this is the place for authentic Roman food, with the inside of a railway arch transformed into an atmospheric Italian restaurant.

South London classic
Ben’s Canteen is a South London institution already. With its brilliant burgers and bottomless brunches the Earlsfield and Clapham Junction bistros are the perfect addition to the Battersea Power Station family. Interestingly Ben’s Canteen crowd-funded their move into the power station complex with a months deadline and a target of £250,000. Within a day they’d already gotten £270,000 and could close the crowd funder.
