Bronte will be offering two sittings for their New Year’s Eve menu – one at 6pm which is ideal if you have children and one starting at 9pm which is just for the adults and is when the DJ will be taking to the decks. Dishes include lobster and crab dumpings with lemongrass bisque, lamb chops with chilli and honey glazed and smoked aubergine and a whole trio of puddings. Start your evening at Tuttons with cocktails in the bar before heading on to the restaurant which overlooks Covent Garden’s piazza. Whether you’re looking to see in 2017 with an intimate dinner or you’re looking to bring the whole gang together then Percy & Founders is the place to go. The Rib Room are serving not a three-course, not a four-course but a five-course feast – well it’s the last time to stock up before the January detoxes. Having opened in 2016, this is MeatUp’s first New Year’s Eve and they’ll be celebrating with live music, DJs, plenty of cocktails and a four-course menu of ribs, steaks and their Surf’n’Turf platter, puddings include brownies and lemon curd cheesecake and you can make the most of the night with their bottomless drinks. 2016 was the year that saw Tom Sellers open his second London restaurant, Restaurant Ours and they’ll be celebrating making it to the end of the year with a menu that includes the likes of salted cod; seabass, butternut squash and truffle pesto and clementine soufflé with hazelnut ice cream. Medieval Banquet

You know one word that we always like the sound of? It’s banquet. Everyone loves a banquet. Ivory House certainly do as they are hosting their medieval banquet to welcome in 2017. As well as Champagne at midnight and six courses including smoked salmon and lobster terrine, Champagne and pomegranate sorbet, roast fillet of angus beef and a trio of chocolate mousses there is unlimited wine and ale served with dinner. Head out onto the water this New Year’s Eve. After a 3-course dinner at Tom’s Kitchen St Katharine Docks, diners will be given a 30-minute speedboat ride on the Thames, down to the O2 and back before cruising down past the lights and watching the fireworks from the water. Celebrate the end of 2016 and everything that is to come in 2017 with a glass of Champagne and supper at The Thomas Cubitt, The Orange or The Grazing Goat. Finish the year at Min Jiang, the Royal Garden Hotel’s restaurant. They’ll be serving up eight courses of traditional Chinese dishes, including their signature steamed dim sum. Guests can also order their legendary Beijing Duck, which is prepared according to an ancient recipe, on top of all those eight dishes, if particularly hungry! Indulge in a 5-course northern Chinese dinner at Hutong, on the 33rd floor of The Shard, for a menu of crisp soft shell crab, steamed lobster and truffle dumpling and wok-tossed Wagyu beef and asparagus. Want to be near the Thames but fancy something a little more casual? Watch the fireworks from new heights at Aqua Shard.
