We Go Behind The Scenes At The 2024 Rolling Stone UK Awards
The 2024 Rolling Stone UK Awards took place overnight, drawing a slew of VIP guests and presenters to London’s Roundhouse. The event, which celebrates the best in music, film, and entertainment, also sees Volvo Car UK return as Automotive Partner for a second year. The Handbook teamed up with bestselling author, podcast host, blogger, PT, and Volvo Advocate, Alice Liveing, for a behind-the-scenes look at the 2024 Rolling Stone UK Awards…
In Partnership With Volvo
Along with performances from the likes of Confidence Man, JADE, and more, the night also showcased the future of automotive innovation, with Volvo’s fully electric flagship vehicle, EX90, making a headline appearance. As the brand’s most advanced car to date, the release sets a new standard for safety and people-focused technology, with attendees able to get a closer look at the vehicle on the night.
Arriving at the event
Guests arrived at the event in Volvo’s luxury vehicles, making a memorable entrance before stepping onto the red carpet.
“I love the Roundhouse, it is such an iconic venue and an ideal location for a music award ceremony being in the heart of Camden,” explains Alice. “I arrived in ultimate style in the Volvo XC90, which is the definition of luxury.”
What I wore
I was red carpet ready in my Nadine Merabi suit with not a crease in sight thanks to my spacious chauffeured journey with Volvo.
The festive season is upon us, so red is a perfect choice, with Alice opting for a two-piece ruby red suit complete with subtle sequin embellishment on the jacket.
Guests could also pop into the Volvo lounge for refreshments, along with a closer look at the Volvo EX90.
There was such a buzz around the Volvo lounge and their new Volvo EX90.
“It was so cool seeing this car for the first time,” continues Alice. “It is stunning. I am obsessed with the interior, it’s beautiful. I can definitely see myself in this car.”
The winners
Some of the most notable accolades from the evening include The Global Icon Award, which went to Nile Rodgers. Confidence Man took home The Live Act Award, and Brooke Combe was the winner of The Play Next Award.
The red carpet
For those who haven’t attended a red carpet before, last night’s was every bit as stylish and lively as you’d expect.
The red carpet was so much fun, so many incredible names in attendance, celebrating the very best in music!
