28 Cute Salt & Pepper Shakers We Love

You may have already noticed but we have a bit of a penchant for dopamine-inducing interiors here at The Handbook and right now we are loving on cute salt and pepper shakers. Practical – essential even – but totally silly and fun too, they will add a pop of joy to your kitchen counter, dinner party tablescape or breakfast table.
Let’s start with the brand that pretty much inspired this piece. Addison Ross and their selection of salt and pepper mills are an interiors piece that have been on our wish list for quite some time. There’s circus stripes in white and burgundy, multi-coloured bobbin styles and cute little chubby ones perfect for adding to a breakfast tray or small dining space. All of them are joyful, colour popping and definitely fit into that maximalist interiors trend we love.
For something on the quirkier side, check out French brand Popolo, which has an array of fun designs in the shapes of fruit, veg, salad, shellfish and more. We love the duo of lobsters in rich inky blue – way less obvious than a classic red – and the perfect gift to spoil a loved one with this Valentine’s Day. On a similar seascape theme, their shell salt and pepper shakers make for a pretty gift for the homemaker who has everything.
If you want to stretch to the really kitsch end of the spectrum, check out Yvonne Ellen’s poodle twin shakers – very 1960s cool, very Mad Men‘s Betty Draper. Or Anya Hindmarch‘s instantly recognisable googly eyes that the British designer has put onto monochrome salt and pepper sellers – a great choice for any fashion lover.

If there is one house warming gift we want to receive, it’s a pair of Addison Ross’ bobbin mills.
