The Morning Show Returns For Season 4 This Week

If you love all things juicy drama, then buckle up Apple TV+’s series The Morning Show is here for its fourth season, releasing tomorrow [17th September]. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are back as Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, two morning TV hosts who more often than not are butting heads.
This season will find the two in very different places, with Alex apparently thriving at the newly merged UBA and NBN networks, and Bradley having lost her position and been in trouble with the FBI. Here’s everything we know so far:
What will The Morning Show Season 4 be about?
Let’s wind the clock back: at the end of season 3, the show gave itself a radical shake-up and had a pretty explosive finale. The preceding episodes saw billionaire Paul Marks (played by Jon Hamm) take a strong interest in buying out the UBA network, which produces the in-universe The Morning Show. However, Alex comes up with an idea to save UBA from a buyout and its financial problems: engineer a merger with another network, NBN. Sure enough, the deal is finalised, and Alex heads to a new future. Meanwhile, Bradley faces a difficult time when she and her brother Hal surrender to the FBI for their roles in the US Capitol riot.
Season 4 will feature a time jump, following up on these events, set two years after the merger. Alex now has an important position at the newly formed UBN network as one of the top execs- but she’s finding herself under pressure to deliver in an industry that’s still as competitive and cut-throat as ever. She’s keen to try and create a better, fairer culture, though she’ll face some obstacles in doing so. Bradley, meanwhile, is still in the journalism world, as the show’s official trailer begins with her explaining, “I’m a firm believer in second chances… maybe this is an opportunity to make it right.” Will she end up back with Alex at UBN?
Who else stars, and what else do we know?
Jon Hamm will be returning this season as Paul, as will Greta Lee, who plays Stella. Newcomers, meanwhile, include Jeremy Irons (The Count of Monte Cristo), Boyd Holbrook (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Aaron Pierre (Mufasa: The Lion King) and Marion Cotillard (Extrapolations). The new season of The Morning Show arrives on Apple TV+ on 17th September.
