Toasty Makeup Is Trending, Here’s How To Wear It

People fell in love with what they called “Latte” or “Cinnamon” makeup last year and the year before, but this year the look has a new name: Toasty glam.
What is toasty glam?
Tan, sun-kissed and dewy, toasty makeup gained popularity this past summer when Hailey Bieber rocked the look on TikTok. Makeup artists and content creators have since incorporated the phrase in their eye and face tutorials, where bronzers and dark blushes take centre stage. Summer’s over, we’re deep into autumn, but people want to stay warm. The toasty glam stays in.
Makeup artist Ryan Bailey Potter breaks down components of the toasty glam, using photos of orange and brown shadowed eyes and freckled faces before providing a step-by-step tutorial. “This is one of those looks that pretty much looks good on everybody,” Potter said.

How to achieve the look
There is no single shade that should be used to achieve the toasty glam. It’s all about warmth, product and placement. Contour is placed higher up on the cheekbones and forehead, prepping bronzer and blush. Apply creams before powders to illuminate the complexion and enhance the appearance of radiant, healthy-looking skin.
“Like everybody wants to look like they’re permanently on vacation,” said Potter. “So I feel like this is a very flattering look.”

Eyes and lips are just as important as the face for toasty glam. A bronzy shadow, followed by dark wing and brown or mauve lip liner coated with gloss, really completes the look.
Model Cindy Kimberly comes right to mind when thinking of the perfect toasty glam.
