3 Handbook Team Members Share Their Wedding Pinterest Boards

Wedding season is right around the corner in the UK, and with three brides-to-be in The Handbook office, we asked them to share their moodboards for the big day. Whether you’re planning your own nuptials or really enjoy all things wedding-related, this is for you.
1. The town hall affair
There’s something about the fashion girl’s town hall wedding that has always spoken to me.
Natasha, Digital Editor
The vibe
Luxe, minimalist town hall chic.
The location
We’re getting married at Old Marylebone Town Hall – it’s classy without being too ‘fussy’. I’m from Sydney, and my fiancé’s also Australian, so we’re planning a reception in Melbourne at the end of the year to celebrate with our loved ones who live south of the equator.
The trend
Anyone who knows me well (or even slightly) knows how much I love champagne, so, naturally, a champagne tower is high on my life bucket list… and what better time to lean in than at your own wedding?
The detail
While I’m excited by many aspects of the wedding, perhaps the one I’m most excited for is the speeches. We’re planning practically every element, so having our favourite people say a few words will be a welcomed surprise (and undoubtedly hilarious).
The inspiration
There’s something about the fashion girl’s town hall wedding that has always spoken to me. I have more minimalist taste generally, which I can’t wait to, literally, marry with more romantic little details.
2. The Italian escape
This event feels like part two: a celebration more closely aligned with my husband’s heritage and culture.
Kitty, Social Media Manager & Content Creator
The vibe
Romantic, classic, vintage Italian summer.
The location
We’re renting a villa in my partner’s hometown in Puglia, Italy, with a traditional church ceremony. We held our legal ceremony a few years ago at a London town hall followed by a fun pub celebration. This event feels like part two: a celebration more closely aligned with my husband’s heritage and culture.
The trend
I’m completely taken with lace and linen wedding signage. It feels perfectly suited to the traditional atmosphere we’re creating. I also love the idea that these pieces become keepsakes, something to hang in your home afterwards, perhaps reframed as artwork or even stitched into a quilt.
The detail
More than anything, I’m excited for Antonio to celebrate our marriage in the way he grew up with, surrounded by his wider family. I can’t wait to hear how beautiful the ceremony will sound in Italian, and of course to indulge in the food that will follow.
The inspiration
Retro Italian photography and cinema, particularly images of 1970s and 1980s weddings.
3. The summertime soirée
I grew up in the area and have now moved back, so it will be so special to host our family and friends here.
Harriet, Head Of Partnerships
The vibe
Summer garden party, marquee reception.
The location
We’re getting married in St Mary’s Saffron Walden (one of the largest churches in the UK!), with a marquee reception in the walled gardens nearby. I grew up in the area and have now moved back, so it will be so special to host our family and friends here.
The trend
I’ve been heavily influenced by the popular trend of matchbox favours and personalised coasters (very restaurant chic). For the reception itself, I’ve opted for a very traditional English marquee vibe, featuring greens and pastels throughout.
The detail
One of our biggest priorities was the food and drink, so this is definitely something we’re excited for.
The inspiration
The location definitely inspired the traditional, summer garden wedding vibe but – without sounding too basic – trending content on Instagram and Pinterest definitely helped, especially with the tablescaping and small details.
