Visit one of London’s new July openings
Opening this weekend, Albert’s Schloss’ fourth venue looks like a must-visit. Located in the iconic Trocadero on Shaftesbury Avenue, the venue is spread over two floors with five bars, a stage for performances and an on-site bakery for Bavarian treats. The new day-to-night spot will also have an Alpine-inspired beer hall with live entertainment seven days a week and room for 600 guests.

Barbie is back!
Turns out, Barbie isn’t going anywhere. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of Barbie, the brand is opening an exhibition this weekend that showcases dolls dating from 1959 to the present day. From a rare first edition of Number 1 Barbie – the first doll released by Mattel in 1959 to the best-selling Barbie of all time (1992’s Totally Hair Barbie), plus Barbie’s Dreamhouse – the exhibition explores the legacy of the world’s most famous doll.

A chef’s residency at Boundary Shoreditch
Chef Joseph Denison Carey will be taking up residence in the ground floor bar and brasserie of Boundary Shoreditch, from 5th July until the end of September. Serving refined comfort food, highlights from the menu include pork and fennel polpette in arrabbiata sauce, leek tart served with béchamel sauce, grilled onglet with braised lettuce; tagliatelle in tomato, lemon and parsley and grilled leeks in romesco sauce.

An immersive art experience
Anthony McCall’s Solid Light installations are “inspired by the sculptural quality of light that radiated from film projectors.” His work features productions of solid light forms made by enhancing projected light with a thin mist. The exhibition also features four immersive installations which invite visitors to become active participants.
