It’s been a warm week in London (with one slightly random thunderstorm), but this weekend is looking bright and sunny. You know what that means – summer terraces, picnics in the park, BBQs and anything else outdoor-related. Plus, one of summer’s most exciting new plays, Ncuti Gatwa‘s Born With Teeth opens in London this weekend, Materialists finally releases in the UK, and King’s Cross hosts a buzzing summer of live music. This is going to be one busy weekend.

Watch Ncuti Gatwa’s play Born With Teeth

Born With Teeth is a playful and daring imagining of the relationship between William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe during an extraordinarily dangerous time for artists. Two-time Olivier Award winner Daniel Evans directs Ncuti Gatwa (Doctor Who, Sex Education) as Kit Marlowe and Edward Bluemel (Killing Eve, My Lady Jane) as Will Shakespeare in what looks like an entertaining duel of wits, words, and power play. Born With Teeth makes its West End premiere for 11 weeks only at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre – theatre fans, you don’t want to miss this one.
