Watch Materialists (finally)

Materialists, one of the most anticipated new movies of 2025, is now out in the UK (about two months after releasing around the rest of the world). ICYMI, this is a romantic comedy that stars Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal, and is directed by Celine Song. The film follows a woman (played by Johnson) who is very good at matchmaking and is highly sought after, with wealthy clients paying a premium to use her business. But her own feelings for two people in her life threaten to send it all crashing down. Safe to say, we can’t wait to watch this one.

Located on the ground floor of the iconic Soho venue, the pop-up marks Freak Scene’s long-awaited return to Soho. The 100 Wardour Street pop-up features a curated menu of Freak Scene favourites, including chilli crab wonton bombs, miso-grilled hispi cabbage, and red curry duck doughnut buns. There’s also a cool Saturday brunch with blasting hip-hop music that we can’t wait for.
