This Mermaid Pop-Up Is A Must-Visit For Summer

Few flavour combinations encapsulate summer better than fresh cocktails & seafood. Which is exactly why the Mermaid x Wright Brothers pop-up is one to add to your calendars. Think: fresh oysters and seasonal concoctions, all available to enjoy on a terrace overlooking the Thames. Here’s what you need to know.
In Partnership With Mermaid
To celebrate Mermaid’s 10th anniversary, the brand has partnered with leading seafood spot, Wright Brothers in Battersea, to create a summer-inspired cocktail menu, and here are five reasons you’ll want to visit…
1. Limited edition cocktails
Starting with the biggest drawcard, there’s a brand new menu of cocktails especially created for the event.
We sent our Editor, Natasha, and Content Creator, Emily, down to try a few of the top blends. Their verdict? The River View Mermaid Sour, with Mermaid, lemon juice, lime juice, peach syrup, orange and a vegan foamer, is incredibly refreshing.
For those who gravitate towards a G&T, you’ll want to try the bespoke perfect serve: a crisp gin expression paired with Mediterranean tonic and finished with lemon-infused olives.
Our Editor’s favourite, though, has to be The Depths – a balanced blend of Mermaid Salt Vodka, lychee, homemade hibiscus syrup, and lemon juice. Watch their full review here.
The Depths cocktail is fresh and delicious – I could drink 10 of them.
Natasha, Digital Editor
2. Top-tier seafood
As the perfect pairing to your cocktail, enjoy an extensive offering of premium seafood. The oysters are the ultimate indulgence, served over ice with California Hogwash (an elevated spin on mignonette sauce, created with shallots, lemon juice, and vinegar).
Alternatively, if you want to try a bit of everything, opt for the shellfish platter with Devon crab, black tiger prawns, mussels, whelks, and more.

These guys do the best seafood, so I couldn’t leave without having an oyster.
Emily, Content Creator
3. Great views
If you haven’t yet visited Wright Brothers in Battersea, you’re in for a treat. The terrace boasts impressive views of both the Power Station, and the Thames and is the ideal alfresco space for balmy summer evenings.
4. A beautiful keepsake

To remember the occasion, order a momento with Mermaid’s Limited Edition 10th Anniversary release, featuring the brand’s signature bottle design in a special gifting box with a special print from Michelle Lucking.
Using the original recipe, this gin features locally foraged rock samphire and coastal fig leaves for a unique island-inspired expression – perfect for creating summer G&Ts at home.
5. Easy to get to
Battersea Power Station has its own Zone 1 Underground station on the Northern Line, making this pop-up easily accessible from across the city. To reserve your spot, be sure to book online.
