When it comes to knowing what others pack for their travels, we’re incredibly nosey, especially regarding the contents of their wash bags. Here, we persuaded four beauty influencers to share their top five beauty travel essentials. We’re taking notes…

1. Ateh Jewel

Beauty journalist, broadcaster, and diversity activist (@atehjewel).

Caudalie Vinosun Lightweight Cream SPF50+, £19
SPF is so important for all skin tones, including my deeper skin tone, and so many SPFs can make me break out or look ashy with a weird blue tinge on my skin. I love this cream as its whisper light, feels like skincare and really melts into my skin leaving no white and blue tinge.
Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic Defence Hand Spray, £4.95
Hand sanitising when travelling is so important, especially on planes and public transport. I love this one because it smells incredible, but it also gives me a 2-in-1 – sanitises but also soothes my nerves form travelling because it contains a purifying blend of organic niaouli, lemongrass and witch hazel.
Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, £26
This is one of my all-time favourites! Rose water has been used for centuries to hydrate and calm the skin and this Jurlique one is super high quality with a beautiful scent that always leaves my skin glowing.
Ateh Jewel Beauty Blush of Dreams, £25
I love to travel with my Blush of Dreams because it’s so easy and portable. You can use the pigment packed cream blush on both your lips and cheeks and looks great on bare holiday skin to leave a polished glow with zero effort. I take all three shades with me – Radiant Rav makes my skin look like it has been warmed in the sun, supernatural and super glowy, Watson Watermelon gives a fun pop of pink that lights up my face and Love Plum Plum looks as if I’ve been nibbling on cherries – I’m obsessed!
Kora Organics Tumeric Brightening and Exfoliating Mask, £47
I love this mask as it’s great for brightening dehydrated skin that needs an instant glow boost from travelling. I’m obsessed with this product and Miranda Kerr (my sister from another mister!) and her organic beauty brand is delicious.rnrnWe’re also obsessed with Miranda Kerr, find out her own must-have beauty buys in her u003ca href=u0022https://www.thehandbook.com/miranda-kerr-beauty/u0022u003eLife In Beautyu003c/au003e.

OTO CBD Sleep Drops, from £76
Essential companion for any travel to avoid disrupted sleep and looking tired and drawn when you’re away.rnrn
This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, £21
The quickest and easiest way to make a hotel room feel like home -the scent is immediately comforting and familiar. I use it every time I travel to help get settled as quickly as possible.
BIOEFFECT IMPRINTING HYDROGEL MASK, £70
It’s a punchy price-point but for a mask that can quite literally transform tired skin in under half an hour, I have never used anything better.
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation, £40
This is the base I come back to time and time again so when I travel, it’s my go-to because I’m guaranteed the kind of natural, radiant skin finish I favour.
VASELINE, FROM £1
Any old pot of Vaseline. I slather loads on my lips at night and use it on eyelids and high points of cheeks in the day for a subtle sheen of highlight.

Space NK Travel Bags, from £16
I always travel with these wash bags because they fit so much in and it’s so easy to see and grab the product you need. The bonus is that you can often get away with using them at airport security, and they are very easy to wipe clean. The orange ones are my favourites.
Maybelline Superstay 24HR Skin Tint with Vitamin C, £12.99
For complexion, I like something light when I travel, and I also don’t want to take away my expensive foundations just in case they don’t make it home. This gives a lovely natural yet skin perfecting coverage, with the added benefit of antioxidant protection.
Vichy Capital Soleil Solar Protective Water Tan, £19
I love all the Vichy sun protection sprays for body, especially this one. It sinks in fast, and the spray allows you to cover places you can’t always reach. Perfect for solo travelling!
Ambre Solaire Over Makeup Super UV Protection Mist SPF50, £8
For top-ups, you can beat this super lightweight mist. It doesn’t ever sting my eyes and fits easily into my travel bag, so I always have it to hand.
Flawless Darker Self-Tan Liquid, £28.95 FAKE BAKE
I don’t tan naturally and just burn if I even try and catch some rays, so I never go away without a bottle of fake tan. And this is the one I always go back to. There’s a colour guide so you can see what you’re doing, and it dries really quickly so it’s great for warm climates. But I never fake tan my face, so I use my u003ca href=u0022https://reesonbeauty.com/products/bronzing-balmu0022u003eREESON Bronzing Balmu003c/au003e, £38 to match up my complexion and give my skin natural looking warmth and glow. It also works well as an eyeshadow, so is a real space saver.

4. Tamara Corin

The Handbook’s Beauty Editor and journalist of 20+ years (@BlusherandBabies).

La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50+ Sun Cream, £19
I don’t go anywhere without wearing u003ca href=u0022https://www.thehandbook.com/the-best-face-spfs-for-great-protection-all-year-round/u0022u003eSPFu003c/au003e, especially not on holiday. This pocket-size suncream is ideal for touch-ups throughout the day and short staycations when I have limited space.
Aromatherapy Associates Discovery Wellbeing Miniature Collection, £45
This mini collection of bath and shower oils brings a touch of comfort and luxe to my travels. The smells remind me of home because I’m either burning an Aromatherapy Associates candle or drowning myself in one of the magnificent-smelling oils.
Hershesons Almost Everything Cream, from £12
My absolute go-to for holiday hair. It tames strays, conditions, defines curls, smooths frizz, primes your hair for styling, adds texture, boosts shine and makes a brilliant mask. Need I say more?
Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm, £10
Named 101 for good reason. This is a holiday skin saviour for my whole family. Great for soothing sunburns, chapped lips, hydrating u003ca href=u0022https://www.thehandbook.com/the-dos-and-donts-of-tackling-dry-skin/u0022u003edry skinu003c/au003e and I’ve even used it on my cracked nipples during nursing. Too much info?! And it’s 100% natural.
Chanel Le Lift Massage Tool, £70
I’m a big believer of the power of a daily face massage but often face tools can be a little too heavy or awkwardly shaped for minimal packing. However, this super chic (as you’d expect) face tool plumps, lifts, drains and so on, plus it’s also incredibly lightweight and fits into the teeniest wash bag.
