It’s the beginning of a new month, which means it’s time to get your diary filled with reservations at London’s coolest new restaurant openings.
From London’s newest Instagrammable restaurant from the team behind Gloria to Theo Randall’s latest venture, here’s where to head this month to get your foodie fix.
Big Mamma Group, the team behind Gloria and Circolo Popolare are set to open another Instagrammable restaurant this month and we couldn’t be more excited.
Taking inspiration from Italy, Ave Mario arrives 2nd July and will boast three different settings, all which nod to a traditional osteria. Boasting 295 covers, you’ll want to start out by the two terraces and stroll into the dining room that’s home to skylights and enveloped in green and white Duomo-striped walls.
Following in its siblings footsteps, the bar will be lined with 3,500 bottles as a feature wall, which leads out into an indoor courtyard and another 36-seat outdoor terrace. Meanwhile downstairs will draw in the party goers as the dining area is home to a 70s luxe mirrored basement with lowered kitchen and counter-side dining, where you’ll see the chefs working their magic.
The menu has been crafted by Chef Andrea, the company’s youngest ever head chef at just 23, and will draw inspiration from all over Italy – think influences from Liguria, Venice and Milan.

Brought to you from the team behind Notting Hill’s ULI comes HUŎ, a brand new restaurant celebrating the best of Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisine.
Landing in Chelsea from 1st June, the restaurant will bring to life carefully selected dishes, all prepared from scratch using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines. Highlights from the menu include Triple-Cooked Dover Sole with Asparagus, Garlic & Chilli and Stir-Fried Beef Fillet with Spicy Black Pepper Sauce.

Fancy a twenty course tasting menu? Now’s your chance to try one as the brains behind Shepherd’s Market’s Taka is set to open up a new restaurant specialising in farm-to-table dishes.
The menu will be presented omakase style, a Japanese tradition of trusting the chef to showcase the best of ingredients that are seasonally available. The menu will focus largely on Japanese flavours and techniques, while the ingredients will be largely sourced with the British Isles.

Making a beeline to Notting Hill in June 2021 comes Los Mochis, a brand new restaurant and bar, mixing Mexican spirit with Japanese elegance. The restaurant hopes to bring the best of both cultures, experiences and customs to the table and engulf them in a whole new way, which is something we’re certainly excited to explore.
On the interior front, both the ground floor dining room and first-floor lounge champion rustic Mexican culture, with vibrant paintings hanging from the walls and cacti plants dotted around, but these are then finished with warm, sophisticated Japanese touches, from the warm timbers to the relaxed dining layout. The food also is largely Mexican influenced, with a huge 22-strong Gangster Taco Menu, helping to elevate the taco game back onto Londoners minds.
Taco highlights include the Trailer Park KFC – Korean fried chicken, Napa cabbage, jalapeño, spicy pickled cucumber, pico de gallo, pickled onions, cheese and poblano sauce, and the Miso Black Cod – den miso, pickled cabbage and crispy onions. If you love yourself a Taco Tuesday, you’ll want to give Los Mochis a go.

You can never go wrong with pizza. It’s the backbone to any last minute catch-up with friends, an easy date idea that’s sure to score points and the ultimate comfort food when you’ve enjoyed one too many drinks the night prior. But knowing where to head can sometimes be a little daunting. Luckily that’s where we come in, as we’ve found a brand new pizzeria that’s sure to keep you coming back for more.
Arriving on Wardour Street on 28th June is Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza. Having gained traction up North, the team decided it was about time to venture down to London to bring the capital authentic Neapolitan style pizza.
On the menu, expect dishes such as a classic Margherita; the Tarantina – with Fior di Latte, anchovies, capers, Kalamata olives drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and the Salsiccia del Nonno – a white pizza with chilli flakes, Fior di Latte, smoked mozzarella, ground fennel sausage and caramelised onion.

Bringing Mediterranean flavours to Marylebone this month is chef-restaurateur and food writer, Yotam Ottolenghi.
Arriving on Marylebone Lane later this month will be a brand new Ottolenghi deli. The space, designed by Alex Meitlis, will air on the side of an art gallery, while the no-reservations communal dining area will feature an Amazonian table that was formerly from Meitlis’s home.
Breakfast dishes will include Ottolenghi’s famed shakshuka with braised eggs, labneh and grilled focaccia; housemade granola with Greek yoghurt and fruit; and pastries. While lunch options will comprise of daily changing salads. Think Roasted aubergine with lemon and lime yoghurt, amba, harissa oil and masala peanuts; Gem lettuce with pea and chardonnay vinaigrette, pea shoots, feta and almonds; or Mejadra rice with lentils and crispy onions.

When you hear the words ‘beer hall’ and ‘food’, the words that automatically spring to mind probably consist of overcooked burgers, dry fries and little else. But here helping to rewrite the rules of your traditional beer hall is Theo Randall, the famed British chef renowned for his fine dining Italian inside Park Lane’s InterContinental Hotel.
He’s teamed up with Camden Town Brewery to create a stunning new Italian menu at their new Beer Hall that’s opening up this June.
Bringing traditional beer hall vibes to the new venue, the Camden Beer Hall will boast a beer menu comprising 24 taps for you to choose from. From Camden core beers to limited-edition specials, it’ll be the place to head for all things beer. But on the menu, you’ll find a beer hall inspired twist of your favourite classic Italian dishes, all that pair perfectly with a cold one.
Expect zingy slices of pizzas from the Slice Bar, combining rosemary and sea salt infused focaccia as the base, freshly baked pretzels, rich creamy burrata cheese with roasted asparagus, burnt butter, toasted breadcrumbs, sage and parmesan, as well as larger plates.

Once the haunt where you’d be guaranteed to find an A-lister or two knocking around, The Ivy Collection is continuing on its rapid expansion with an exciting new arrival landing in Chelsea this summer.
The Ivy Chelsea will be opening its doors on King’s Road later this summer, bringing with it a taste of pan-Asian cuisine.
Back in November 2019, The Ivy Asia, St Paul’s brought with it theatrical drinks and cocktails, lavish interiors and delicious Asian-inspired dishes, so we’re expecting high things from the latest from The Ivy Collection.

Bringing you a taste of the seaside is Tom Kerridge’s new chippy venture. Launching 11th June, Kerridge’s Fish & Chips will open up inside the iconic shopping destination, Harrods.
The popular TV chef will reinvent the humble chip shop and posh it up to fine dining standards, all while keeping the flavours and spirit of the seaside favourite alive. The menu will be largely seafood focussed, sourced from local fishmongers. Enjoy hand-dived scallops, native lobster and Kerridge’s famous crispy gluten-free batter.
