Let’s talk about the product that’s quietly taken over the Liberty beauty hall – and my makeup bag. Jones Road’s Miracle Balm is one of those rare finds: part glow-up, part skincare, part everyday essential. It’s become so popular; it now holds the title of best-selling beauty product at Liberty. Considering the department store’s carefully curated line-up, that’s no small feat.

So, why the fuss?

Firstly, it’s Bobbi Brown’s brand. Yes, it’s gone viral on TikTok. And yes, it looks like someone rubbed lip balm on a compact. But here’s the magic: the Miracle Balm doesn’t just sit on your skin, it transforms it. It catches light in the most flattering, soft-focus way. It blurs. It boosts, and crucially, it suits everyone. Any age. Any skin type. Honestly.

The product’s USP?

Here’s what sets it apart: Miracle Balm isn’t designed to cover up – it’s here to lift what’s already there. Think of it as the antidote to cakey foundation or matte everything. It melts into the skin like a dream (the warmth of your fingers is its best friend), and it feels like skincare because it sort of is. It’s packed with nourishing ingredients like jojoba seed oil and argan oil, so it hydrates while it highlights. Genius.

And that’s not it, it’s also buildable and customisable. Tap it on lips, cheeks, eyelids, even collarbones. Mix shades. Layer it. Or just use a single swipe and go. It’s basically the no-makeup makeup essential.

My favourite shade

A hard decision, but I also veer towards ‘Flushed’. It’s not too bold, not too sheer, but just enough of a juicy pink. It gives me that post-workout glow, minus the sweat. It’s an especially good colour choice for those of us who run a little pale or just want to look alive without looking overly “done,”- that would be me! It also plays beautifully with my bronzer and looks great over a minimal base. (A close second fave is ‘Magic Hour’ for a dewy golden veil that’s insanely flattering.)

Worth the hype?

If I’m in a rush (always!) I simply rely on this and a sweep of black mascara, and I’m good to go.

I’ve tried a lot of glow products. Some sit on my skin weirdly. Some vanish. Some make me look like a glazed ham. Miracle Balm is in its own league because it actually makes me look better in real life. There’s no faff. No fancy brushes. No rules. Just my fingers and my face. If I’m in a rush (always!) I simply rely on this and a sweep of black mascara, and I’m good to go. Plus, it comes in mini balms, which are a great size for chucking in handbags, and last week saw the launch of its palette, so if, like me, you use and love more than one shade, this is heaven-sent. It really is no wonder that one of the most iconic London department stores can’t keep it on its shelves…
