The Latest Designer Wallpaper To Revamp Your Home

From bold paint choices to unique art pieces, there are numerous ways to add flamboyance and flair to our interiors. However, there’s nothing more striking and transformative than dressing your walls in wallpaper. We reveal the styles and trends that will have you redecorating before lunch…
Our love affair with wallpaper has rarely faltered. In fact, this year, it’s been reignited with the most incredible designer wallpaper from both traditional brands and smaller boutique labels. We’ve fallen for the feature wall, the all-cocooning wall-to-wall papering, and more recently, we’ve given our ceilings a little more attention. My bathroom ceiling has been given the Art Deco stamp with a richly patterned Mind The Gap paper. Put it this way: we’re pushing boundaries and breaking the unwritten rules to be different. It’s experimental; it’s fun.
Rockett St George is a must for its own-brand wallpaper collection. Designed by co-founders Jane and Lucy, the range is everything you’d imagine: exciting, unabashed and beautiful. Expect both Art Deco and ‘70s influences, and, of course, leopard print. For more of the traditional, 1838 Wallcoverings has created three collections in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London: V&A Decorative Papers, Papers II and Papers III. The 1838 team has reimagined archive designs from the late 1700s to the early 1900s to suit both period properties and contemporary interiors.
This year, more than ever, it’s all about the fifth wall. We’re painting, papering or decorating our ceilings. It’s an opportunity to add a sense of surprise or bring fun into an otherwise classic room.
The wallpaper trends
2025 brings us so much choice and inspiration. In terms of trends, we’re seeing a lot of metallics, stripes and illustrated designs. However, as you’d expect, there’s an abundance of blooms and biophilic creations. Picture everything from the country garden to luscious tropical palms. Both House Of Hackney and Wildmore have an array of wildflower prints. At the same time, the eclectic and fabulous Divine Savages indulges us with jungle scenes, rich cocktail vibes and plenty of retro glamour.
This segues nicely into our adoration for Art Deco, a trend that offers opulence and grandeur, making Art Deco wallpaper ideal for at-home bars. It’s both a strong and decadent trend introducing pinks, metallics and deep reds into our rooms. Similarly, our fondness for retro styles extends to the ‘70s as we see a revival in muted colours, geo and animal prints. Poodle & Blonde is our go-to for clashing patterns and vintage-inspired looks.

Finally, we couldn’t talk about the ’70s and ’80s without mentioning the return of the border. Yes, it’s back. You may be getting flashbacks to grandparents’ homes, but this is the look interior designers are rekindling. We love the clash of print on print, but adding a border to an otherwise plain wall is your fast track to cool.
