It took four months, but in April we saw the first bit of sun, we also saw the opening of sky bars, new hotels, Burmese restaurants and the revival of pubs. Here are ten of the best openings from last month…

The City's New Skybar
The bar, fresh off the plane from Hong Kong, is located on the 14th floor of the new Dorsett City hotel in The City, meaning that it’s got knock-out views across some of London’s most iconic buildings, not to mention views stretching for miles. As you sit on the roof terrace, look out at the Walkie-Talkie, Gherkin and Shard choose from the bar’s extensive range of Asian-inspired cocktails which seek to balance sweet, savoury and sour flavours.

Bluebird Café White City
The Next Bluebird
Bluebird; it’s synonymous with the Kings Road, entertaining those in MiC and being one of London’s iconic restaurants. But now they have opened their second restaurant in White City. Opening at the Television Centre, the restaurant will spread out onto a piazza overlooked by the centre’s famous circular core, making Bluebird at the heart of the £8billion regeneration. Executive chef, Simon Gregory, has created a modern European all-day menu which will include dishes such as nduja crusted yellow fin tuna with grilled onions and green sauce; butter chicken curry with basmati rice and spiced king prawns with yoghurt and pistachio. Puddings, pastries and desserts will be the work of Roger Pizey, the award-winning executive pastry chef.
