From Waterparks to Wellness: The Family Resort That Has It All

It’s not every day you find a resort that manages to entertain five children from start to finish but LuxMe Costa Botanica on Corfu’s lush northern coast does exactly that. Nestled between the Ionian Sea and emerald hills, this all-inclusive paradise feels both gloriously expansive and quietly intimate. Here, nature is the backdrop: long, golden sands and olive-dotted landscapes.
First impressions
From the moment we arrived, the tone was set. Smiling staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and homemade lemonade for the children, with cool towels for us. Within minutes, we’d swapped shoes for sandals and stress for serenity. The resort feels like a village: winding paths through gardens, shaded pools, and that shimmering beach steps away.

The facilities
LuxMe Costa Botanica doesn’t just accommodate families; it’s designed with them in mind. The Kids Club was a huge hit; the children went with zero complaints (a first)! For us, it meant long, peaceful lunches and even longer afternoons by the sea.

The kids club was really fun and I loved playing football each day and made lots of friends.

There’s a wonderful sense of freedom here; everything is taken care of, yet nothing feels rigid. Crepes and ice creams are served throughout the day (I think we averaged three crepes a day each), while staff somehow manage to make every guest feel personally looked after.
They were so kind and remembered all our names and the water slides were better than any pool we’ve been to!

There was so much to do, from tennis and paddle ball (with rackets, bats, and balls all provided) to ping pong, the ever-popular slides, and evening cinema nights and disco parties that kept the children entertained well past sunset. The Piazza became our evening hub, a lively square filled with music, chatter, and perfectly crafted cocktails made with fresh ingredients and premium spirits, never pre-mixed or artificial. Watching the sun dip behind the hills with a mojito or margarita in hand felt like pure Mediterranean perfection.

The staff truly make the experience consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in creating happiness. From waiters who remembered our favourite drinks to housekeeping who left little surprises and personalised notes for the children, there’s a level of personal care here that feels rare. It’s this combination of human warmth and thoughtful service that turns a resort into a family haven.
There were always so many great things to do we were never bored.

For an all-inclusive, the value is remarkable. Normally, such packages mean compromise, limited menus, budget drinks, or forgettable experiences. However, here the food and drinks were made from fresh ingredients. For families, it’s an exceptional value: you could spend a week here without ever feeling like you’ve “settled” for convenience.
Food & drink
The resort’s five à la carte restaurants make dining a genuine highlight. The Fine Dining offers a refined, farm-to-table experience where every detail is considered, from the warm glow of lava stones where we enjoyed grilling our own steak and king prawns to the four-course tasting menu that celebrates a huge breadth of flavour. The lobster linguine was an absolute highlight, perfectly cooked, rich yet delicate, and unmistakably fresh.
Asiana brings the East to the Ionian, serving delicate sushi and fragrant curries, while Tavernaki captures the spirit of Greece with its meze, ouzo, and irresistible homemade bread. Piazza Popolare and the Mediterranean Restaurant deliver relaxed buffets with everything from grilled fish to vibrant salads, and the Beach Club & Barbecue House pairs flame-grilled favourites with sunset views. Between meals, guests can enjoy local wines at Cava Bottega or indulge in handmade crepes and gelato at the Beach Club Creperie & Chocolate Bar fresh, delicious, and available throughout the day.

Normally, all-inclusive dining can feel repetitive or limited, but here it was the opposite: every meal was generous and distinctly Corfiot fresh ingredients, local flair, and impeccable service.
The rooms

Breakfast alone deserves applause, from handmade pancakes and freshly baked pastries to a full cooked spread and every cereal imaginable. The rooms are spotless and simple, with private terraces and that relaxed coastal elegance that suits the setting. A word to the wise: if you’re particular about pillows, bring your own.
We visited in October, at the end of the season, and the weather was still gloriously warm, long days of sunshine, cool evenings, and sea breezes scented with salt and pine. The pools aren’t heated, so a dip requires courage, but come high summer (June–August), it would be warm enough
Another bonus was the diversity of guests’ families from across Europe and beyond, all united in that same state of relaxed contentment. It adds to the easy, cosmopolitan energy that defines the resort.
Things to do nearby

One of our favourite days was spent exploring by sea; we hired a boat from North Corfu Boats, which requires no license and couldn’t have been easier. Cruising along the coastline was a highlight in itself, but our stop in San Stefano was unforgettable. Lunch at Eucalyptus Restaurant came highly recommended, and rightly so, a relaxed seaside gem serving beautifully simple dishes with a view that makes you linger.
Snorkeling at the beaches was absolutely magical, I could have stayed in the water all day!

The verdict

LuxMe Costa Botanica isn’t just a resort; it’s a rhythm. Days unfold gently: breakfast, sea, laughter, lunch, more sea, a gelato/crepe, sunset. It’s luxury without fuss, generosity without excess, and relaxation for families who want space to breathe and reconnect.
We came for a much-needed break. We stayed for the endless, delicious food and excellent service. And we left with five very happy children and two very contented parents.
Luxme Costa Botanica isn’t just a resort; it’s a rhythm. The all-inclusive concept feels genuinely elevated, thoughtful dining, beautiful design and the kind of seamless service that makes you instantly relax. It’s a reminder that true luxury is as much about feeling cared for as it is about the setting.
