RIXO Launches A Homeware Line Fashion Girlies Will Love

Fashion girlies, rejoice, cult Brit brand, RIXO, is launching a debut homeware collection, bring that unique and instantly recognisable RIXO DNA into your living space.

It’s no secret we love a bit of RIXO here at The Handbook, with the vintage-inspired, print-heavy brand being our go-to for date nights, summer weddings, Christmas parties and beyond. Headed up by the dynamic duo that is designers, Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey, the label is now adding a homeware line to its much-loved empire.
Taking inspiratoin from the iconic artist Henri Matisse, the collection brings an abstract feel to napkins, tablecloths and cushions.
Launching on Monday 11 November, the collection will, as expected, be a feast of colour and print, taking inspiration from iconic artist Henri Matisse, to bring an abstract feel to a selection of napkins, tablecloths and cushions.
And it shows, with hand-printed brushstrokes that add that RIXO uniqueness to each piece, in a refreshingly summery colour palette that will brighten up dull winter days. There are two palettes to choose from – one bright and primary that will add a pop of colour to a tablescape or tired sofa; and the other more neutral with terracotta and cream tones, nodding to RIXO’s ‘70s-inspired charm. We actually love the two mixed, which feels particularly ‘RIXO’ and will bring real personality to a space.

Co-Founder and Creative Director, Orlagh McCloskey, commented: “From the start of RIXO, Henrietta and I have envisioned expanding into homeware. The antique and vintage fairs we constantly visit have been a constant source of inspiration, shaping the spaces we create in stores. We believe RIXO can bring a fresh perspective to homeware, with accessible pieces designed to make an instant impact. Our personal style, seen in our clothing, naturally extends into interiors as well.”
