Netflix Murder Conspiracy Series The Madness Is Not One To Miss

The Madness, a new series coming to Netflix next month, looks set to be another piece of TV you won’t want to miss in November, alongside Apple TV+’s Bad Sisters and Amazon’s Citadel: Honey Bunny. It stars Colman Domingo (The Colour Purple) as a TV media pundit, who makes a deadly discovery in the woods. What he finds will alter the course of his life, as he races to clear his name. Here’s all to know:
What is The Madness about?
The Oscar-nominated star of films like Rustin and Lincoln, Domingo in this series plays Munice Daniels, a well-known TV media pundit and personality on the news. His life and career, however, turn into mayhem when he accidentally stumbles on a crime scene whilst walking deep in the woods in the Pennsylvanian mountains. A murder has taken place, and Munice is now caught up in the fallout- and worse. It turns out that the murder victim, intriguingly, was an infamous white supremacist, and Munice has been accused of killing him.
The pundit finds himself in a deeper and deeper conspiracy as the full implications of the murder become apparent, and he races to clear his name and save his reputation in time. As the walls begin to close in, things become more and more serious, with Munice’s life itself at risk. He searches to reconnect with his estranged family and past ideals in order to survive.

What else do we know?
Netflix has not revealed a huge amount else about the new miniseries, keeping most of the plot and the twists and turns that come with it under wraps. However, it looks like it’ll tackle some political and social themes along the way, judging by Domingo’s own interpretation of the show: “You can just turn on the news right now, and you’re like, ‘What is being said? And how is that being done? And why is that normal?’ None of it is normal. This series says… let’s get to the bottom of it.”
The miniseries is set to consist of eight episodes, and also stars Marsha Stephanie Blake (When They See Us), Gabrielle Graham (In the Shadow of the Moon) and John Ortiz (American Fiction). There’s no trailer yet, so stay tuned in the coming weeks before The Madness releases on Netflix on 28th November.
