Every month, another piece goes viral, swiftly moving from the shop floor to TikTok feeds and, inevitably, our wardrobes. Its accessibility is part of the appeal — but when we’re all shopping from the same rails, how do you make Zara feel like your own?

I’ve bought plenty of pieces that people could not believe were from the high street, simply because they were styled in a way that felt fun and natural to me.

1. Embroidered Printed Skort
Whilst technically this item sits within Zara’s ‘lingerie’ section (hard to believe), I think it’s a gorgeous late-summer item that can be transitioned across into autumn. It almost seems like a piece you could pick up from a hotel boutique abroad!

Whilst it’s still humid, I’d tuck in a white vest and accessorise with chunky bangles, plum pumps and a clutch. Or with the matching bralette as a co-ord for an evening dinner or event. Once the weather gets cooler you could layer some nude leggings under and pair with a grey cardigan.

2. Orange High Neck Bomber Jacket
If there’s one thing Zara does right, it’s a jacket (need I remind you of the viral Suede or Leather jackets?). This one still stays in line with what the brand does best, but the colour and material make it a less obvious choice. That said, this is a piece that has the potential to do so much heavy lifting in your wardrobe – with some dark denim, big sunglasses and a headscarf. Or a grey tracksuit pants? Or a mini skirt and a loafer? The possibilities are truly endless and it plays into the early autumn colour palette, but will equally work well for late summer nights next year.

3. Black Slip Dress
It would be cliché for me to say you can never go wrong with a black dress… but it’s true. This is a wearable version that would take me from day to night with ease. The halterneck and lace details make it feel more luxe than high street! I’d wear it over some flared trousers and with a boot, or with a trench coat to work meetings. A transitional piece for sure!
