You might not know but..

In its 175-year history, Searcys was particularly famed for its elaborately decorated wedding cakes, with John Searcy himself coming out of retirement in 1896 to create the Royal Wedding cake for Princess Maud and her marriage to Prince Carl of Denmark in Buckingham Palace. This magnificent five-tiered cake was recreated by Searcys in 2022 to mark its 175th celebrations and toured across its venues with slices for guests to try.
