Tucked into Broadgate Circle near Liverpool Street, Yauatcha City is a chic escape from the City’s hustle, and a great spot to get genuine Cantonese food in the city. Glass, greenery and soft colours make it the perfect backdrop for a lunch, brunch or evening out.

What sets it apart?

The combination of inventive dim sum and polished presentation makes this a London gem. The kitchen experiments with flavours and textures, while the interior feels elevated, yet casual.

The location

Set in the heart of the City, Yauatcha City is both easy to reach and a welcome escape from the streets outside. Its sleek, airy interiors make it a stylish spot for any occasion.

The interiors are cool, all glass and modern design, plus its location make this a true gem.

The food at Yauatcha always delivers, and it doesn’t hurt that everything is so colourful and pretty. The dumplings are hard to beat – my favourite is the scallop shui mai.

Food & drink

Yauatcha City specialises in dim sum, and they do it well. Think golden venison puffs, scallop shu mai, lobster parcels, wild mushroom bites, and lots more. Brunch service even allows multiple rounds of dim sum, so you can sample everything from classic favourites to seasonal creations.

Yauatcha also offers larger plates and sides that impress, from stir-fried rib-eye beef and baby pak choi with garlic to steamed chilli prawn and hand-pulled noodles. Desserts include a selection of mochi, raspberry delice, and the signature hazelnut parfait.

A special offer in October, enjoy the supreme dim sum platter, showcasing a signature selection of steamed, baked and fried dim sum alongside classic char siu bao, perfectly paired with a bottle of Billecart Salmon Le Reserve Champagne for £98.

For a quick fix or a full-on feast, Yauatcha City nails it. Stunning space, playful plates, and the kind of dim sum that makes you want to Instagram every bite. If you love dumplings, this is your spot.
