37 Amalfi-Inspired Interiors We Need This Summer

If you’re not jetting off to a postcard-pretty Italian town this summer (sigh), you can still bring the holiday vibes to your home with our Amalfi Coast-inspired interiors edit. From striped table linens to colour-popping crockery, charming ceramics to rustic terracotta pots, these 37 pieces will make every inch of your home feel like a little apartment looking over the sparkling seas of Positano, Sorrento or Ravello. Just add a plate of silky cacio e pepe and a chilled Campari spritz for a slice of the dolce vita.
The Italian hotspot isn’t just known for its crystal clear waters, chocolate box-esque properties, incredible food and instantly de-stressing views and weather, the interiors are something to behold too. Synonymous with beautiful blue tiling, punchy ceramics laced with personality and colour-pop crockery to make the ultimate tablescape, the Amalfi Coast style is a hot trend in interiors for 2024, and it is a relatively easy, quick and cost-effective way to revamp a space. Whether that’s adding Italian-inspired glassware to the breakfast table or Assouline’s impossibly chic Amalfi tome to your coffee table to denote your well-travelled soles, there are plenty of quick wins to bring the sunshine to what is far from a ‘tomato girl summer‘ right now in the UK.
If you want to nail the Amalfi aesthetic, go straight to the source. Unfortunately we can’t all bring a suitcase of beautiful plates and hand-blown glasses back from the streets of Sorento themselves, but there are plenty of stunning artisanal Italian brands doing incredible things outside of the Med. First up, Artemis Deco, which although was founded and operates out of London, sources and curates beautiful homewares from independent makers across Europe. Their Siciliy jugs are made in the hilltop city of Caltagirone on the Italian isle (OK, not the Amalfi but not worlds away) and will add a globetrotter aesthetic to your home, whether filled with water, morning OJ or a citrusy cocktail to sip on weekends in the garden.
Then there is Bettina Ceramica, a brand founded by artist Natalie Sytner that celebrates traditional Italian ceramics and gives them a contemporary spin. Her Acquasantieras are based on the traditional Holy water stops that would be placed outside churches or homes throughout Italy, but look equally as beautiful on either side of a mirror or a console table, or in a characterful nook of a room.
And if you’re looking for affordable Amalfi style, there’s plenty on the high street too. H&M has a whole range of lemon-shaped tableware – we love their £12 stoneware jar that can be filled with salt or olives at your next summer drinks soiree. On the subject of olives, John Lewis has a charming olive dish – charmingly rustic in shape and crafted from rich terracotta, it has a place for stones, cocktail sticks and a handful of crowd-pleasing unctuous olives.
