April sees new London restaurant openings really kick into gear, as restaurants look to establish themselves before the summer rush. From a new Greek opening from the chef behind Kiln and Pan-Pacific fusion to the French Riviera and rooftop terraces, here are the new restaurants launching this month.

OMA

Just in time for the start of summer, OMA will be bringing the flavours of the sun-soaked shores of the Greek Isles to London.  Located in Borough Market, OMA draws its name from the Greek word for ‘raw’, featuring both a crudo bar and an open-plan, live-fire kitchen.

Jorge Paredes, formerly executive chef of Sabor, is leading the kitchen alongside David Carter (Founder of SMOKESTAK) with Nick Molyviatis, formerly head chef of Kiln, working on menu development for the launch. On the menu will be a range of options perfect for sharing, including reimagined Aegean dishes like harissa-grilled prawns with cucumber and mint tzatziki, slow-grilled red mullet with red miso butter, and yellowfin tuna with clementine and aged soy.

ABC Kitchens

Abc Kitchens sees French Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten bring his celebrated New York dining concept to London, with his three restaurants Abc Kitchen, AbcV and Abc Cocina all sitting under the same roof at the Emory Hotel.

Though the three restaurants showcase different culinary offerings (farm-to-table fare, plant-based, and Latin-inspired, respectively), they share the same philosophy: a passionate commitment to fresh, organic, sustainable, and ethically sourced local produce. Vongerichten’s cuisine abandons the traditional use of meat stocks and creams and instead features the intense flavours and textures from vegetable juices, fruit essences, light broths, and herbal vinaigrettes. Abc Kitchens’ menu will reflect this approach and showcase Vongerichten’s creative and forward-thinking, plant-focused dishes, tonics, and cocktails, celebrating the best of mother nature.

Yasmin

Technically Yasmin has already been open for over a year, but up to now, it’s only been available to those with a membership to private club 1 Warwick. From April, it’s being opened up to the rest of us, so we can all enjoy its Middle Eastern sharing plates and sundowner cocktails – and best of all, it’s on a rooftop.

With panoramic views of Soho, the menu comes from Executive Chef Tom Cenci, previously of Nessa, inspired by his time in Istanbul. Think sumac cured salmon with smoked yoghurt, citrus and chilli, sesame smoked duck with black za’atar and a grilled corn salad, and a baklava ice-cream sandwich with pistachio and honey and date molasses.
